thats not an opinion...and opinion is i like cherry pie more than apple pie.

you can hate the nats but they arent rivals with the phillies. its just something that isnt there. you cant think its there.

There's the Mets then everyone else. 

Tampa is more of a bitter rival than the Nats and that's only because of the 2003 NFCCG. 

The Nats are and will always continue to be an afterthought to me.

I enjoy the continued suffering of all Washington teams, but mostly because there's a lot of overlap with the insufferable fans of their NFL franchise and because I personally dislike the city a lot. So I'll be rooting against the Nats in the playoffs. I'll also be rooting against the Cubbos because I enjoy them being permanent lovable sadsacks. But if either the Cubs or Nats win, big deal. Not going to feel the same ache in my soul I would feel seeing the Mets celebrate.

I'm still scared of that rotation long term but it was nice to see the hopes and dreams of that fanbase completely shat on this season.

Pretty much the only NL surprise this year unless you want to count the Phillies not being a complete abortion.
