really hoping someone was just flipping through the channels and never heard of mr robot and just stumbled upon the first 20 mins tonight.  the level of confusion would be amazing.

I'm a fan and the first couple minutes caught me of guard. I got up to get a drink when the bud light commercial came on.

***Spoiler-ish theory***

The show is doing a good job of teasing the audience. They release new shtein about Naz's past that makes you doubt his innocence. The step dad has an interesting back story developing which makes you think, well, maybe him.

I bet it ends with a mistrial with most signs pointing to Naz. I bet she mumbled something to the effect of, "I can't believe I shagged an Arab" and he just went off in a drugged stupor and stabbed the nice lady 22 times.

my prediction since a few weeks ago:

naz is found not guilty, but its revealed he did it and stone/the parents know it. naz comes home, his parents knowing they raised a killer who is now back in their house.

or the bitch set him up. or one of freddy's peoples was involved. or i dont know, i kinda want to see whats under that lawyers shirt.

i think he straight up did it and will admit it at some point. just snapped.

the freddie stuff makes no sense to me. he picked him as his boy because he seems like someone he can talk books with? so dumb. and if freddie is somehow connected to the murder that's even dumber.

but i agree the show is barely worth watching any more.

they aren't doing a very good job of it but before the show even started the stated object of it was to be similar to the wire and show the dysfunction of different parts of the system...that's the only reason I say he didn't do it but will be found guilty

and I couldn't agree more with the jail shtein...its just beyond ridiculous and nonsensical....but even as stupid as it is no chance Freddie is involved in any way with the murder....if he is then the show enters true detective season 2 territory of awfulness

That Ringer article nailed it in the sense that it seems as it is more about what prison, specifically Rikers, does to someone.

I think he's found guilty and I don't think he did it. There was an amazing lack of blood on his person for butchering someone.

I forgot it was on, but then saw it posted on another forum. So I had an hour to burn and watched it. Agreed they should have focused more on the trial, the prison stuff was fine at first but now it's just played out. At least they stopped with the foot shtein.

they must have some brilliant farging writers at the ringer to have taken 7 episodes to figure that out....especially when theres been articles for the last year and a half saying that this is what the show is going to be about

they went out of their way to portray him as a choir boy for the simple reason that they wanted to show how prison changes people...but it just doesn't work at all...it's happened way to fast it cliche ridden and most of all not remotely believable

started watching penny dreadful. 1st two episodes were ok, not great. seems to have a league of extraordinary gentlemen feel. anyone here see all 3 seasons ? does it get better or is it just middle of the road ?
