Sarah Palin is something that still exists and the national media affords her a platform to spew her ridiculousness.

Yes, this country is definitely in a special place right now.

I'm enjoying the disintegration of the Republican party less than I thought I would.  Turns out, it's a bit scary to see the GOP overwhelmed by the stupid, scared, racist base.  Even if they don't win, they aren't going away.  The future looks dim to me, struggling against this lot.  They do not credit science, fact, truth.  They literally cannot think for themselves.  There's no such thing as changing their minds on anything.  They're led by hucksters and charlatans, and they've got guns.

I'm only half joking: exterminate the brutes.

luckily we wont have to deal with them on a national basis for too much longer...they see the end of their relevancy coming and its scaring the shtein out of them...starting with a black guy becoming president to caitlyn jenner their world is crumbling before their eyes...their response is voter id and bathroom laws which will not work in the end

they are soon to be done they know it and are handling it accordingly....by losing their farging minds

the only question is how quietly do they go and how ugly does it get before it happens

the last two republican presidents aren't going to the convention....nor is the last republican presidential nominee...the republican presidential nominee before that will only support the current presidential nominee if he apologizes to him for not calling him a hero...and the hero's running mate from that cycle is currently trying to oust the republican speaker of the house who was also the last republican vice presidential nominee

you cant farging make this shtein up

Here's the thing...if/when the modern republican party crumbles, it's most likely going to be replaced by something even worse, not better.  Like when some zesty boy band finally fades out only to be replaced by an even more zesty boy band shortly after.

yeah but it will be super marginalized and regional....residing mostly in the south and midwest that it wont even matter....just a matter of time before the far right is extinct nationally.....and im not by any means saying this going to happen this week  this year or even next year...but its finally coming sooner rather than later

last time a republican candidate got 300+ electoral votes was 1988

2. this country is farging retarded

tread. lightly.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Someone not as toxic as Hillary would win this by a 1984 level landslide.   HRC should still be fine but joe generic candidate would be better positioned versus Trump because her negatives are high enough to partially offset his.

The same is probably true with the right.  Rubio would've been favored against her.

some things in this world are just too big to fail. the nfl, the catholic church have proven over the last 10 years to be. the gop will do the same with this. trump will come and go, and business will continue on. theyll still struggle to win general elections, but i just cant see the party splintering.

too many useless, fat, stupid people in this country. not happening.

nope....it's possible they might never hold the white house again right now as we speak but we are no more than three prez cycles away from that being a certainty

I think she would've slaughtered Cruz.  Cruz can't expand the GOP map whatsoever.  He's not winning Ohio/FL/PA.

Trump is more of an unknown to me.  But yes, someone like Kasich / Rubio / Paul Ryan would beat her I think.  Just like a random Democrat would slaughter Trump.  We just ended up with the two candidates the other side hates the most (and that has a % in their own party who hates them too).

MDS

theyll never win, sure, but they arent going to go away. they can still control the house and senate.

i cant see a split of the right with the crazy jesus freaks going one way and the fiscal stick up their ass dudes going another.

I'm more concerned about the Bernites boycotting the election than the rank and file Thuglicans.  GOP voters are terribly ignorant but they do fall in line much easier thanks to their religious indoctrination and general fondness for authoritarians doing their thinking for them.   Plus Bernie is exactly the sort of narcissistic douchebag who would run as an independent and split the progressive vote.

I mean, honestly, my life probably won't change if Trump is elected, but my faith in humanity, which is already as low as it's ever been, will be diminished even further.

MDS

bernie wont run as an independent, but he is going to drag this out as long as he possibly can. the campaign has already said its not paying attention to supers, so until clinton hits the number with pledged (she wont), hell keep going.

the good thing is the media is largely ignoring him and everyone just assumes its over
