It is interesting considering the draft is deep in DTs, how much money they have/will sink into the DLine with Vinnie and Cox, and that I've heard nothing about Bennie, who is in his final year already. They need depth and it looks like they are bargain hunting with a reclamation project that they can get Fairley cheap. Hope they keep Logan though.

That's true about Schwartz, hopefully he's seeing something salvageable in Fairly. It usually doesn't bode well that a mid first rounder has only started 30 games in 5 years (and 8 in the last two).

It feels like it's been a long time since I could say this, but all of the moves the Eagles have made this offseason are completely rational, solid and feel like laying a foundation. As opposed to the chaos feel of recent years. Well, other than the Pederson hiring; I won't say I give that the benefit of the doubt, but safe to say the jury is out on that one.

Pederson was a totally vanilla hire, so not chaotic, but nothing to be excited about either other than the fact that he's not Chip. But even with that, I like the staff he's put together.  Pretty strong group of coaches that will hopefully help compensate for Pederson's lack of experience.

You can't help but at least feel encouraged by Howie so far. He's getting shtein done.  Resigning good, young players, bringing in some nice free agents at pretty good value, and got rid of some bad players with terrible contracts while getting really good value in return.  He's the story of the off season so far.
