Random Eagles Information Still Not Worthy of a New Thread

Bradford is anything but elite but I can see why the Eagles would pay him like he's a top quarterback.  They're stupid like that.

I agree with pretty much all of that except Bradford being a tier 3 guy. That's putting him in/near the bottom third of the league.  He's still an elite talent, imo.  Still has to put it all together on the field + stay healthy, but he more than has the tools to be a top passer. I'd have him right in the middle of tier 2, myself, but trending upwards after the 2nd half of last season.

He could be a tier 2 guy, but he has to prove it first. Talent wise he's a tier 2 guy. Fans/people forget the first half of last season he had to shake off two years of rust. He wasn't good early on but as the season progressed so did he.

If he's re-signed in the $16-17 million per year range - which is going rate for a guy like him - then Howie will have made a good gamble. I think Bradford/Condon overvalued his interest on the market. Cleveland is probably drafting a guy at 2, the Texans supposedly have no interest and it's all but certain they'll take Hackenberg. So who else is left? The Jets will go with Fitzpatrick, I see no reason they wouldn't. The Rams? They'll probably draft a QB too. My hope is they re-sign Bradford, release Sanchez, then have a young guy back him up.

Cardale Jones intrigues me as a 5th round 2 year project type guy. He has all the physical tools you'd need. If they could stash him away for a few years as the 3rd QB (Matt Barkley part deux), Bradford's deal would expire, and maybe Pederson can develop him.

QB Eagles

The Browns have more or less said that they aren't trading Gordon. The answer at WR won't be coming that easy.

SD

The Browns say a lot of things...doubt they want to go through another mess like they have with Manziel. They'd probably jump at a pick to rid themselves of Gordon.

Dead on about feeling a little better about losing the 2nd if he's kept. That's something I've harped on a bit. Even though it was Chip's call, it's still the Eagles' investment. The only way I'd not bring him back would be if he was a total flame out last year or if they're somehow able to cut a deal for Aaron Rogers. Personally I'd like to just see the team tag him and see how he does.  As much as he improved last year, he didn't sell me on a long term commitment.  Of course, they could sign him to a 20 year contract for all I care as long as he doesn't have an obscene cap hit and could easily be released after a tear or 2 if he sucks.

Nobody should get that emotional about it.

Eagles and Dolphins reportedly working on a deal that would send Kiki and Maxipad to Miami in exchange for draft picks.  Literally anything they can get for Maxwell is a win.

Edit...already being discussed in another thread.

maxwell has no ceiling much less a high one...he is what he is

kiko still has a ceiling since he actually has been great in the league before and is a year removed from a bad knee injury...you have to assume mia is insisting he be included in the maxwell salary dump...cause trading him doesn't make a whole lot of sense
