Hilary is going to be the next POTUS. Sanders is intriguing but in the end he'll fall short.

Most experienced - Check
Makes history - Check
Last name is Clinton - Check

I wouldn't mind a shake the establishment up POTUS but people always vote for what they know

So long as it's not Trump, Cruz, Rubio, Jeb...

I could handle Kasich but prefer not to let the GOP get back in there

My daughter is a Sanders volunteer.   She's not old enough to vote nor will she be but she's old enough to organize the juniors and seniors who are or will be when election day rolls around in November.  Her generation seems to be drawn to this guy.  We had a long talk about the reality of just how important this election is but she didn't want to hear a word about Hillary.  She's having none of it.  It's Bernie or bust for her and her friends.  I've heard that from more than a few of my liberal friends too.

God help us.

Hillary will be fine, but yeah, Bernie is preferable.

People under 35 don't shake in fear at the word "socialism" the way that GenXers think they should. Of course, we're going to have to make government function better if we want it to run certain things.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Convo at work today

Girl says "did you see my boy Cruz last night?"

Me "yeah the guy who wears two watches, whose daughter hates him has done exactly what Santorum and Huckabee did. Congrats"

We went back and forth a bit and the she asked who I'd vote for now and I said Bernie and the whole area got quiet

"But he's a socialist!"

And I said the same thing about the word socialism - that it isn't some big scary negative word

hillary will go with a young, energetic, liberal vp and theyll all come back. or theyll be scared into voting for hillary when they get a load of the moron the pubs are pushing.

im not really concerned about them...what i am concerned about is hillary's insanely high negative
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

yeah bernie got something ridiculous like 85% of the 18-29 year old demographic yesterday.

hillary does need someone uber liberal as her VP to grab the bernie voters or else there's a good chance they don't show up at all.

jesus how annoying was rubio yesterday. congrats, you came in 3rd, just like everyone said you would. would have thought he won the nomination yesterday. can't believe i'd ever say this but if for some reason the pubs win the presidency, i think i'd rather it be trump over any of them.

Same with my oldest. She's a freshmen in college and she's all about Bernie, as are most of her friends.

Of course, most people her age are primarily drawn to the idea of free college, so take it with a grain of salt.

He's definitely my preference, but if Hillary gets the nod I'll still cast my vote her way.

The only problem with Trump is that it would be such a blow to foreign relations.

While stuck in traffic on the way home tonight I was trying to think about the last time I was this nauseated by the group of GOP candidates and I can't think of a time.

Sgt PSN

Foreign relations are the least of my concerns with Trump.

Sanders is in no way qualified to run this big complicated country nor is he remotely capable of being commander in chief. It's important for him and his kind to be taken seriously and to have their ideas (finally) be a part of the political conversation, but he would be a disaster in a general election and if he somehow got elected I have no faith that he would know what he was doing, which would set the liberal cause back in really bad ways. I don't care how boring she is or how nepotistic and exclusive our politics have become, I'm saying Go Hillary.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

totally agree...luckily he has zero chance to get the nomination much less the presidency....the democrats have had an embarrassing field this year...they really deserve to lose...then reboot the party over the next four years after whatever pub that wins ruins the country again
