it has nothing to do with the ncaa, they have no say in anything really when it comes to cfb

its the cfp committee which insisted on this. espn desperately tried to move it to jan 1 but they didnt budge.

it's all cause of the rose bowl which they won't move from its traditional nyd late afternoon slot

cfb semis will be nyd in years the rose has one of the games...otherwise nye is the new tradition

but what theyre trying to do is turn nye into THE DAY for the cfb semis. like how bowl games are nyd, nba has xmas, nfl thanksgiving, baseball j4 and memorial day. its a marketing thing.

the rose bowl wont be even the rose bowl every 3-4 years so who the farg cares anymore
