it had to be a recruiting thing

haden is in a no win: stick by him (then ease him out after the year) and you get that used against you in recruiting....fire him and you look like a soulless dick

as always, side with the opinion of 17 year old boys
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PhillyPhreak54

Yeah Haden is a joke

Firing him is farged up. You leave him on leave and let him go to treatment.

PhillyPhreak54

Well this is kinda surprising

Spurrier is retiring effective immediately

PhillyPhreak54

Holy shtein Grier was suspended by the NCAA for a year??

#1 TE recruit in country basically told SC I'm off to Bama.

what is this persons name?

QuoteThe fallout from USC football coach Steve Sarkisian's unexpected indefinite absence continues, as the nation's top tight end prospect has now backed out of a long-planned official visit to the Trojans in favor of Alabama.

As noted by Isaac Nauta himself on Twitter, the 6-foot-4, 237-pound IMG prospect has "flipped" his official visit from USC to Alabama, where he will take in the Crimson Tide's forthcoming contest against LSU and Heisman Trophy frontrunner Leonard Fournette

Just ran into my buddy who is a USC grad, played volleyball there and is pretty entrenched in the goings in athletic department said the alumni were fooled and thought they were getting the golden boy in Haden.  Went on about how they handled Kiffen to the Coastal Florida coach they hired to take over the basketball program and now this fiasco.  Like J said, the signs were all there in Seattle.

He did say the hire Chip Kelly campaign is for real but they do realize Chip's ego is huge and he feels he has to succeed in the NFL.  The job will probably pop again any way in a few seasons.

why are the bama/a&m and mich/msu games going against each other. no clue why abc took penn st/osu in primetime over the significantly better big 10 game.

lsu florida is much bigger than bama/am and in fact its the overall best game of the week so it got the night slot i guess

mich/msu is a better game but its really a regional match up...penn st ohio st have arguably the two biggest fanbases in the country and ohio state is ohio state....for a good program michigan state is relatively small time when it comes to cfb

MDS

it got the night slot because cbs took bama/a&m

they get 1st pick each week with SEC games (though they can select each team only a certain amount of times). espn gets 2nd pick for that 700 game.

them aligning the big 10 games like they did is surprising because its a 100% espn decision. no other networks or considerations in play.

its not suprising because putting ohio st penn st in prime time is a no brainer....theres no contest btwn that and mich st mich in terms of ratings

as for the sec choice i guess bama trumps all because florida lsu is a much bigger game and its not like its one of the mississippi schools or south carolina who is undefeated its florida lsu

This slate today is looking fantastic

Couple that with the baseball and this is why I love October as a sports month
