Arrieta said as much after the game.  Funny thing is that it was the 3rd inning, so the call wasn't influenced by the situation that early.  Just a bad scoring decision IMO.

organizationally the mets did a real nice job building this thing. you have to give them credit for it. plus gary keith and ron are godly. the nats are horrible in every way shape and form. their players are iceholes, the announcers suck, the gm is a turd sandwich who smugly shut down his best pitcher at his peak because hes an idiot. papelbon. they deserve nothing.

Ok, based on years of trolling, I thought the Mets were the hated ones...but seemed like the past couple of seasons, the Nats had taken center stage...maybe because of the mediocrity of recent seasons the Mets have had. Have the Pirates ever shared in Philly's ire and despise?

I remember growing up it was the Giants (always)...and in a close 2nd the Braves (for most Dodgers fans). But that all went away with reshuffling. I don't know there's been enough history between Philly and ATL for any semblance of a rivalry.

Seems like Pirates have never been good enough to hate. Even now, its kind of fun watching them play.

after the nats got werth they tried so hard to start a rivalry with the phils....it was the most pathetic thing ive ever seen...not a single phils fan cared at all...the eagle fans who try it with the cowboys are bad but imagine the eagle fanbase how they are with dallas now but with absolutely no history
