Getting their 13th ranked prospect for a six week rental is absurd especially after the waiver deadline.

I don't know who's making the deals for them but someone deserves an attaboy.

13th is pretty low for a "prospect" that will turn 25 before next year....but i would have taken a bag of fat burgers for GRIT so i agree the return is solid....to me th best part of the deal is getting the dodgers 13th best prospect and having him not even be able to crack the phillies top ten....shows how far the fightins system has come

Jerome Williams has to truly be the worst starter in the majors

It takes a superhuman effort to be as comically awful as this team has been, and the Jerome Williamses of the world are a perfect fit it your intention in signing him is to toss a warm body out there as a sixth guy in a five guy rotation.

The thing he's never been good.  Ever.  He's been to varying degrees mediocre to outright awful from the moment he started pitching in the Major Leagues.  He wasn't supposed to be anything more than a stop-gap and that's exactly what he's been.
