Daytona Beach has a minor league baseball team that has won, like, 40 league titles in the last 20 years.  They used to be the Cubs high A team and now they're the Reds high A team.  This version is farging dull and boring so I'm home.

Good:  Dollar beer night.

Bad:  Only had three before it started pouring.   Again.

I don't know a single player on the team now that the Cubs have moved on and the mascot literally looks like something Stephen King would dream up to scare the farg outta you.

But dollar beers.

I still hit the Fort Myers Miracle on occasion.  Used to do it more often, but life is just busier in general, and even A-level baseball has gotten a bit more expensive, especially when it takes a 45 minute drive to get there.

Fort Myers had guys on 1st and 2nd with none out.  They bunted to move them over to 2nd and third.  Daytona walked the bases full.  Two straight K's later, Daytona gets out of the inning.   I swear Brad Pitt in Moneyball was screaming in my farging ears watching that.  Talk about loser baseball.  I hate that shtein.

you can probably go back and find a few posts that are overly optimistic too...in other words he's totally skitzo on this and is just throwing shtein against a wall to see if it sticks depending on the day...two years is new for even him tho

its less throwing shtein against a well and more my opinions changing -- 2 years ago we didnt know what we now know about franco, jp and nola or the guys they got in the hamels trade. i never actually said theyll definitely be good in 2-3 years. i said its a possibility, a scenario based on percentages. and it is.
