i don't know a thing about him...but the best you're hoping for in the 2nd is a role player.  none of those guys are difference makers & most won't make it.

fine with the pick because of BPA, wanted russell but oh well. more disappointed they didn't get back into the 1st to get a guard.

and i also like how Embid not healing as quickly as he should has turned into he's out another year.  in a few weeks he'll be dead

yeah, that's where i am as well...inability to trade up for a late 1st shows how worthless those 2nd round picks are.

okafor was bpa...can't complain about that pick. now you have 3 bigs with different skill sets (1 with questionable health).  you mix & match them, find out what works, & hope one blossoms into a superstar.  teams always want bigs so the one/two who don't fit can be moved later on.  assets.

the 2nd round is a waste of time...those picks are worthless.

okafor was picked and kept for one reason and one reason only...they know theres very little chance embiid ever has an nba career....and hes the only one that has/had a chance to be a superstar

four first rounders next year hopefully can turn into one superstar....as for the current roster the supestar ship has unfortunately sailed
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

stop being so dramatic.  unless you get a great package for Okafor you hold on to him and let all 3 play and see how it develops.  there is no rush to trade anybody right now regardless of Embiid's health

thats mostly true when you have one second round pick....when you have five you are hoping to find a draymond green or a euro stasher like manu or the dragon

the odds are not in your favor but to dismiss the second round out of hand is silly

gotta keep it real

two of them cant play together all three is ridiculous...jo jo was 50/50 to survive a navicular injury when drafted...but i was all in on taking that chance and would do it again...but to have a set back already at his age brings the odds down to like 10%...hes more or less done imo...otherwise they dont take/keep okafor

so hinkie just completed his third draft and 2nd outright tanking season. currently the sixers have the following pieces:

-nn
-okafor

thats it. also lets remember the 3 picks owed to them next year, at this point, are likely to all be outside the top 10. the lakers are going to add love or aldridge or someone good. they might not be a playoff team but they wont be horrible. the heat are a playoff team. the thunder are a title contender.

so once again, 82 meaningless games will be played until the big day in may when the sixers hope the ping pong balls float their way and a superstar happens to be at the top of the draft. what a plan.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

a few euros have worked out in the 2nd round over the past decade...but's it's super rare.  overseas scouting has come a long way & a lot of those guys go in the 1st these days.
only a handful of 2nd rounders in the past 10 years wound up being all star caliber...the other 300+ are garbage.
