Antonio Brown triple coverage?
If they stand a chance they need to really control the clock. Saw a report that the china doll Mathews was getting his hand looked at so if he can't go it's the Barner, Smallwood and Sproles show. OL needs to stop the goddamn stupid penalties. Oh and Kelce? Maybe he will block someone for the first time in two years.
Defense needs to be on Ben like he jumps on them coeds in bathrooms.

They don't stand a chance. Especially if they triple cover Antonio Brown with their patented blanket triangle where all 3 DBs surround the receiver and stay exactly 6 yards off in each direction.
lol @ patented
I think they filed for a similar quadruple coverage patent.
It is funny but my very first Eagles memory was them playing against the Bears and it was exactly that - 4 Eagles defenders running with the WR on a long bomb and it dropped right into the receivers hands. I think it was the first time I ever formulated the WTF?! thought.
I don't really see how they prevent Brown from getting Tecmo Bowl numbers, but I'm curious to see how the Eagles look against the run. I think they've done a good job with it until now, but every week I've seen Williams play these last couple of seasons, he gashes defenses and looks like an amazing starter instead of a backup. The defense would impress me if they can at least clamp that part of the Steelers attack down.
jeffrey really only had the 1 big play on them, but part of that was because cutler was horrible. they wont get that with ben.
i dont see them winning the game. feels like 31-20, but who knows maybe jimmy schwartz can scheme em up
Let's all continue to publicly say how bad the Eagles are going to get spanked, while secretly expecting the Eagles to whip these guys. Seems to be working.
others have said it and its true, this week is about what the defense can do against the steelers' offense more than anything.
i never realized how despicable steelers' fans were until facebook gained popularity...now i f'n despise them & their rapist qb.
try living in a pocket of them.

How tiny are you smeags? I hope its a least a shirt pocket, so you get a view.
They are definitely a strange bunch. No matter how much success they have, they can only feel good if they're crapping on other fans. Even more so than the cockroaches.

got Nantz/Simms, but the game isn't as national as other 4:25 games

It's a real low information fanbase, spoiled by decades of success. I lived in the Pitt for a decade, and for living in such a shteinhole it's amazing how little they know or care about life or sports outside da burgh. Aaron Hernandez can be killing dudes and the only NFL news they are interested in is how "Hines" is doing on Dancing with the Stars.
I understood being harassed while wearing my Flyers gear, but I had yinzers twice my size trying to start physical fights with me for wearing a Westbrook jersey to farging preseason games. Deep down they must know their area sucks because they are super defensive and insecure about everything.
They sound like Russians in that regard.
They put cole slaw on sandwiches. They're really no better than animals.
they also put French fries on them so they're not all bad. like 99.99999%, but not a full hundy.

That's pretty much my take. They think their city plays second fiddle to Philadelphia, so they feel like they are somehow slighted...and they're subconsciously trying to compensate.

That sounds eerily familiar.
*cough*NYC envy*cough*
the second fiddle syndrome is there...and definitely the low information fanbase factor. i know more about the steelers than most steelers' fans i know.
but they're really good at counting lombardi trophies. :(
One of my favorite things to do when confronted by a dumbass stiller fan: ask them to name three players on the team not named Roethlisberger.
Most times, there's a pause, and something along the lines of "O'Doyle rules!"

I don't doubt that Philadelpha has a New York wannabe complex. But it's a different vibe than what comes out of Yinzerburgh.
oh no doubt.
I am kind of lucky that my next door neighbors, who are diehard steelers fans (moved to the area in the 70's), are philly people. they also know the team and the game. a break from the norm around me.
Out:
Ertz
McKelvin
Seumalo
stealing this from sportsnation cause its a really good bet idea...
more likely for wentz sunday
2+int
or 2+td
they didnt give a line but i think it should be int +105 and td -105
Quit messing with Pittsburgh. Flashdance was a great movie, albeit most of you weren't born but Jennifer Beals man, c'mon.
Treggs
Andrews
Ertz
Seumalo
Vaitai
Gordon
McKelvin
Inactives
farg it's Phil Simms
I should have realized.
Bennie!
Booooom!
Wentz! MVP!
Looks good again. Please let this be real.
I've been trying not to get too excited about Wentz because it's only been 2.25 games, but he's gotta be legit. He makes bums like Jordan Matthews look better.
How long do I hold my breath on this team before allowing myself to believe?
What is it about this team that causes them to injure the farg out of every opponent they play?
Love what I'm seeing! TD would have been nice but impressed they're going punch to punch with Pittsburgh.

Don't ever let your guard down, that's when they'll rip your heart out again.
Well Johnson is about to get a 10 game vacation for being a stupid farg
So let's see how the OL works with Barbre and Wisniewski
You don't get it, Phreak: Wentz doesn't need an o-line.
Catch the ball!
Wtf you midget? Stay in bounds you dwarf!
That would have been a stupid catch...he would have been hit immediately inbounds
I also hate the early bye next week
Throws off the momentum
Timmons had to be taken to a hospital for his shin injury
quite the ouwie
Wowowowowow!!!
Oh god, call an ambulance I'm too hard.
Holy shtein! I'm still jumping up and down!
Odds that igy smiled and clapped on that?
0% because that was all Wentz
He practically ran it in for Sproles.
Intercept the god damn ball!
Stupid farg!
Malcolm Jenkins is so good
Tom fargikg Selleck!
I might like Smallwood too
Nevermind
Ok...I like him again
Unbelievable.
Asssss kicking baby!!
farg yeah
This was totally unexpected.
This is like 2004 except the Eagles are the ones like driving the Steelers

Fapfapfapfap
This defensive line is even better than I was hoping. Schwartz is magic, but we should spell it Schwarz in honor of me.
Schwartz has this defense farging ballin.
Brace yourself....Wentz mania nationwide is coming.

5th bottle of Merlot this morning?
Boy is it gonna suck when we find out this game was only played in an autistic kid's snowglobe.
Roughing? Ok
Not surprised at all that they've been able to throw on the Steelers, but the run game has been legit.
Speechless
The run game was pretty dead early, but now that the Steelers are worn down and respecting the pass, it's game on.
That was a perfect throw to DGB deep
Ben is so rattled that he can't throw anymore....this is farging great
This is happening, right?
No...GF already pointed out we're in an autistic kids snow globe. I don't know why GF gave the kid autism, but I guess it's better than the AIDS

QuoteThis treatment usually begins with a combination of draining blood from the penis and using medications.
Excess blood is drained from your penis using a small needle and syringe (aspiration).
I'll just deal with the boner, mkay thnx.
You can also treat it by watching the replay of the Phillies game on MLB.tv
QuoteThe Steelers' 34-3 loss was their largest loss since a 41-10 loss to the Bengals in 1989. Their streak of 305 straight games without trailing by at least 30 points was the longest streak in NFL history (per the Elias Sports Bureau).
Holy farging Moses, was that fun to watch.

Ha. Yep, give me the dick needle option over that, thanks.
Rewatching some highlights and of course that big ol' boy Fletcher Cox is there play after play smashing through that O-line like a wrecking ball, moving guys around, disrupting everything the Steelers are trying to do. Guy is just so farging reliable, earning that fat paycheck every day.
Feels like this defense is getting its identity back. It's been a long time.
guys
theyre good. theyre really good. its happening.
is this happening?
in reality this was the most fun ive had at a game in a while. all aboard the wentz wagon.
Quote from: the innertubesDarren Sproles had the Eagles longest TD reception since Herschel Walker and passed Herschel Walker on the list of all-time NFL all-purpose yards ... on the same play.
Carson Wentz is the 1st player in NFL history with 100+ attempts, 60+ completions, 5+ TDs & 0 INTs in his 1st 3 career games
Through the first 3 games, the eagles currently have the most points scored in the league (92) and the least points against (27)
so, that happened.
We all somehow fell into the bizarro world we all knew existed...where good things happen for the Eagles and their fans. I wonder if the universe knows it messed up yet.
Somewhere people are reading newspapers with a giant picture of Die-Hard patting a Giants fan on the back.
Where Tom Hutton has a statute in Philly somewhere and his nickname is "clutch".
I'm impressed you know/remember Tommy Hutton!
I'm insulted.
lolol
Still love ya buddy
