There is no more hate left in me to dish out anymore so hence the football season is over for me.

Don't love the Ravens, but the Steelers fans drive me nuts.  F them.  Whatever can happen to make people in this godforsaken hell hole less hateful, I'm for that.  Go Baltimore.

I live in Pittsburgh but my boss is a Ravens fan. Either way I'm farged.

From a football perspective, I'm not happy about three teams from that fraudulent division being in the playoffs. The farging Eagles would have won that division.

It's not exactly a surprise, but god these teams in the buried Saturday game suck.

As long as Carolina keeps muffing punts, committing personal fouls and missing easy FGs, Arizona has a shot

Carolina is a sub.500 team but they've been completely different over the last 5 weeks. Defense started playing like it used to a little bit, and Cam was running a lot more.

John Harbaugh just wins too...put him and Flacco on the road in the playoffs and those two pull it out more often than not.

They have a shot to take NE down
Title: Re: Wild Card Weekend

harbs is great too but the ravens are down to deep ass back ups at so many positions and ozzie always has the right depth to provide valid replacements....hes incredible

anyway they are a gold standard franchise on how to run things....coach coaches...gm gm's.....stay in your lane and have a perfect separation of church and state

Regular season Flacco and Post Season Joe are two different people.

The way he played against Houston and in the first half of that Cleveland game? Absolutely awful.

Get him into the playoffs and its like he's some kind of QB Jesus.

number of times, as a grown man, his mother spoke for him

number of times he played air guitar before a playoff game

number of times he puked on the field during the 4th qtr of the super bowl

A lot of things are wrong with the officiating. There are way too many ways to get automatic first downs, and combine that with the fact that you can't even touch receivers anymore, it makes for way too many advantages for offenses. In no way should you brushing a receivers back turn a 3rd & 20 into a first down. Just throw a 5 yard illegal contact and make it 3rd & 15.

It was a horrible turn of events, no question, but this is the NFL. They will release a statement tomorrow, and everyone will whine for a day, and then move on, because it's the NFL and they have the world by the balls with popularity. I don't see any changes coming. This is the product they want and they've been pushing for.

Quote"The back judge threw his flag for defensive pass interference," Morelli said in a pool report. "We got other information from another official from a different angle that thought the contact was minimal and didn't warrant pass interference. He thought it was face guarding."

Face guarding is a penalty in college football, but not at the pro level. Back judge Lee Dyer threw the flag on Hitchens from the far side of the field. Head linesman Jerry Bergman offered the different -- and ultimately deciding -- view.

Yeah, the refs totally farged Detroit there. Looked like a back shoulder throw that was a bit inside. Definite PI, probably defensive holding as well. You could maybe argue offensive push off or even a facemask on the receiver but it doesn't matter. The bottom line is that Bryant should have been called for stepping on the field without a helmet to argue with the ref, so regardless of the previous calls that would give Detroit 15 yards and a first down. I don't think a live ball followed by a dead ball personal foul offset. Not a big conspiracy theory guy but wouldn't be surprised if the fix was in. The refs explanation after was bullshtein as well.

totally agree with all this...i am glad they didnt call that PI...they call it way too much...det didnt deserve the call anyway cause the throw was so awful....can almost make an argument for an uncatchable ball...the problem was picking up the flag...you cant pick it up once you do that...but overall i liked the non call

Within the confines of the current rules, that was definitely PI. A defender can't have his back completely turned and make contact like that regardless of how terrible the throw was. I agree the current rules are bullshtein. Even if they keep it as an automatic first, at least make it a 5 or 10 yard penalty instead of a spot foul.

Crazy ass second half

Burfict and Pacman being out of control cost them as did Hill fumbling

Marvin gonna be fired and deservedly so

Yeah, I don't see how they ruled that a catch.

farging nance and simms watched the replay approx. 50 times and each time they got more and more excited over how amazing a catch it was when he clearly didn't have control with both feet in

it was like simms didn't know the rule and thought as long as in the end the ball didn't hit the ground it was a catch no matter what his feet or the ball was doing

Every week I feel just a little better about leaving the games on mute. A youngish John Madden might be the last time anyone has ever said commentary improves the games.

Could matter less than in a regular game, no team seems able to move down the field quickly in that cold. 2 min drill not likely to succeed, timeouts or not.
