Move this thing to FedEx and I'll feel a whole lot better.

Heard some stooge host on WIP today saying how he wants the crowd to break the decibel record like the Seahawks did.  I take it this kook has not seen a birds home game in some time.  Plus the guy kept saying "WE".

Not bad for getting the "D" team of Burkhardt/Lynch/Erin Andrews

(Green is Falcons/Bucs and yellow is Cardinals/Jaguars.  Back to the bar for Rome)

Burkhardt and Lynch should be moved up next year to the B team at least. They're really good.

based on pure luck and a mediocre nfl, just about every eagles game left will get to a significant portion of the country. theres 1 or 2 that could wind up on snf, too.
Title: Re: Week 11 vs. Washington's Professional Football Team

yep, supposedly the Lions game is one of two candidates to replace Packers/Giants in week 14 (Panthers/Saints is the other)
Title: Re: Week 11 vs. Washington's Professional Football Team
Post by: MDS on November 11, 2013, 05:27:35 PM
record wise the cardinals game may went up being the best option for snf, though nobody wants to see the cardinals

week 16 against the bears could also happen. obviously week 17 will if its the nfc east championship.

This is...amazing.

Barkann has been fully WIP'd. The radio show has ruined him. Nice troll job, Mike.

And Didinger...lol. Way to take it outta context, pops. Pimp says the fans deserve a win and Ray goes off.

That said...I advocate booing. I will always boo when they pay zesty. But, and I have to explain this to these Southern Simpletons I live around, just because we boo doesn't mean hatred or dislike all the time. It is because we expect winnings and solid, hustling play.

Ike and Barkann were keeping the mongrels frothing at the mouth.  Say what you want but I'll listen to Diddy all day, just keep the idiots from calling in.

DeSean is what he is.  Big mouth when they're winning, disappears  when they're losing, and a hell of a playmaker because of his speed and route running ability.  He's nearly got  his entire yardage from last year by game 10, with a rotation of injured  QB's.

I haven't read this whole thread, but for what it's worth, I still think a healthy Maclin is a better overall WR than Jackson, though Jackson is the better HR threat. I also think that Jackson is the bigger jackass, not that I care much about that until it costs the team yards. The problem with Jackson is that he's built to have a relatively short window of dominance because of his diminutive size and reliance on speed. Once he loses a step, either through age or injury, it'll be over quickly.

There's six people here and all of us love Jackson.  We all criticize him when he does something idiotic, yourself included.   As for the rap nonsense that's just bullshtein on your part.  If people here truly were racists they'd have long since been weeded out by the board nazis who give a shtein about such things.

Obsessing about defining DeSean and establishing where you stand on DeSean is old and tired and shut up.

DeSean does what he does and he works in this offense. I think he's a jackass, not because he showboats but because he has occasionally showboated to the detriment of the team. But by and large I've totally come around on players showboating. Go for it, assbags! Taunt the shtein out of the opponent. You're 5'9" and you just smoked professional athletes on a football field. Taunt taunt taunt. Just don't cost the team yardage and I won't bitch.

Also, Jeremy Maclin is hurt and might be dead for all I know so can we not talk about him until he has something to do with anything? Cool thanks.

Re:  Showboating

You know how fans get all uppity when players show off on the field?  What's the first thing they say?  "Act like you've been there before.  That Emmitt Smith sure was a classy guy because he just handed the ball back to the refs after he scored."

Meanwhile, that same fan is jumping up and down and screaming is farging nuts off every time his team scores.  Act like you've seen it before, douche.

Obviously I'm not advocating for fans to sit on their hands, just pointing out the hypocrisy.  Fans can dance and scream like morons because they saw something awesome but players get crucified for celebrating after they DO something awesome.

I don't care what DeSean or anyone else does as long as it doesn't cost the team yards or points.

Which team did that Emmitt Smith play for? The one that played for Dallas took his helmet off after every TD, then took the ball with him to the sideline and kept them all in a big case just for his footballs.

the average nfl fans favoirte thing about the nfl other than fantasy football is shtein talking

in the nfl fanbases are much more apt to be blue collar and carry a more race centric view of things...thats not to say they are racist altho some are but its to say race is a big factor in how they perceive a lot of things.....including athletes

for example in the nba people showboat much more than in the nfl but you never hear people whining about the players in that respect.....and its because the fanbases are much different and im not talking about the black fans of the nba....the white people who are fans are much more affluent and educated and thus openminded....in fact the people who despise the nba are normally cavemen loving nfl fans

I'm certainly not bought in on the Eagles chances of doing anything significant this year, but I'd love for them to beat the Skins. This feels like one of those games that could go either way to me, but I'm hopeful.

That Emmitt Smith sure was a classy guy because he just handed the ball back to the refs after he scored.

Which team did that Emmitt Smith play for? The one that played for Dallas took his helmet off after every TD, then took the ball with him to the sideline and kept them all in a big case just for his footballs.

Smith was a prick.  The big travel case full of footballs was sickening.

I actually thought it was their best game through 3 qtrs and then all the wheels came off.  They get the first on 4th and 1 and it probably ends 31-7 or something.  Instead they didn't and went into ultra conservative mode.

Going for it on fourth and one was excruciatingly stupid.  Not challenging an obvious out of bounds play was stupid.   Playing prevent on offense and defense was stupid.  Tons of penalties at the worst times.   They started out great and the defense played their asses off in the first three quarters but the fourth quarter was embarrassing for all concerned.

The fans brought it today, though.  Loud as farg and rowdy as hell too.   A+ effort.

Are all you guys for real with the anguish over not using a challenge to turn a 9 yard gain by Morris into like a 4 yard gain, deep in Washington territory in the first quarter, with the Eagles forcing a punt two plays later anyway? I want the coach to use challenges when it farging matters, not every time it can save the team a couple of yards.

This is rich:

QuotePHILADELPHIA -- Washington taterskins left tackle Trent Williams said umpire Roy Ellison cussed him out during a drive late in the first half Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, an accusation teammates backed.

Williams said Ellison walked by him after a play and called him a "garbage-ass, disrespectful motherf-----."

Pool reporter Michael Phillips of the Richmond Times-Dispatch attempted to contact the officials regarding the accusation. The officials already were on a bus, so Phillips told the driver he needed to talk to head referee Walt Coleman. According to Phillips, Coleman came to the window and asked what he wanted. When Williams' account was relayed to Coleman, Phillips said the referee said, "OK," then directed the driver to roll up the window. The bus then drove off.

An NFL spokesman said the league will look into Williams' accusation.

As Williams recounted the exchange after the game, several teammates shouted at him to stop, including receiver Pierre Garcon. But after he was done, Williams said he didn't care if he was fined.

"This is a players' league," Williams said after the team's 24-16 loss. "I don't think there's no room for that, to take that from the team and the refs. It's very unprofessional. It sucks. I'm at a loss of words. You never expect that as a player to have to beef with the refs also."

Williams wasn't sure why Ellison made the comment. When asked if he had been complaining about calls, Williams said, "I never disrespected him like he disrespected me."

The taterskins were called for four penalties; Philadelphia had nine. Some members of the taterskins' interior offensive line were wearing microphones for NFL Films, so there's a chance the exchange was recorded.

Several players corroborated Williams' account.

"I've never heard anything like that before in my life," taterskins guard Kory Lichtensteiger said. "I don't know what it was, but that guy came out with some kind of vendetta. I don't have a lot else to say, but I heard that comment."

Williams remained upset about the exchange as his voice could be heard from the showers. He said he does not care if people think he's trying to blame the officials for the taterskins'  loss.

"You can say whatever you want to say," Williams said. "I'm telling you the truth."

They don't have the talent required to do that especially on defense.

Whatever, though.   I hate nitpicking at wins but they were this close to blowing it in the end.

They don't have the talent on defense, but there's plenty of offense to make that irrelevant. If 24 points isn't enough of a lead, maybe try for 31 instead of packing it in on offense at the start of the fourth quarter. I don't know, I'm not a doctor.

Great clip. Chung could slip a disc tying his shoe but he is a hard hitter which that DB group had desperately needed coming into this year. I don't know if he is amazingly stupid risking a horrific penalty there or was clever enough to realize in that moment that it wouldn't really matter anyway since the play was over - in which case he's got great instincts.
