Farg these funholes.
I may be there...gotta see if I can score tickets.
FARG DALLAS!!
You want something done right, you gotta do it yourself... Next Sunday.
farg Dallas!!!!!!!
Why do they keep moving the games forward? farg I don't care! This is a fargin playoff game! I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS shtein! farg DALLAS!
its not a playoff game...both teams are playing again after the game ends
It is a playoff game fargwad, I can't stop saying farg!! This is a fargin huge game against our division rival for a home playoff game if not a playoff bye! fargIN CHEW ON THAT A BIT
i dont think teams generally play again after they lose in the playoffs but maybe thats just me
they do in college, because i was told that the whole season is one big playoff
You think they'd rather not be playing in Philly than Dallas or Minneapolis? They go all out on Sunday. Of course, Reid's still the coach so that might not be enough.

Well they need to approach it like a playoff game! I'd rather them get a shot at home then on the road. Call me crAzy!

id like a home game so i can go but really with how hot gb is right now i dont see a whole lot of a difference btwn playing at dallas versus gb at home....i think its a toss up game either way
If they beat Dallas don't they get Dallas at home the next week? Assuming Minnesota doesn't shtein the bed against NY or CHI of course.

yeah
If we lose next week's game is there anyway we end up with the Cards?
eagles win, minny loses 1 = bye (2 seed)
eagles win, minny wins both = vs. dal (3 seed)
eagles lose, minny loses 1, pack lose = @ dal (5 seed)
eagles lose, minny loses out, pack lose = @ minny (5 seed)
eagles lose, minny loses out, pack win = @ minny (6 seed)
eagles lose, gb wins = @ dal (6 seed)
eagles lose, gb loses = @ arz (5 seed)
also arizona is locked in as a saturday game for the wc round, so if its dallas/philly then thatll be sun @ 1
Thanks Ed.
dont you dare call me easy
I didn't, Havas.
This game couldn't get any better! Chance to clinch division and a bye. Put up or shut up for the Birds, if they are legit they win this game.

ha
Here's the updated ish:
WIN#2 seed, 1st-round bye, and they wouldn't face Dallas in the divisional round (since they'd be the #6 seed and would have to go back to New Orleans if they pulled off an upset on wildcard weekend)
LOSS + VIKINGS WIN + CARDINALS WIN#5 seed, wildcard weekend at Dallas (Vikings get #2)
LOSS + VIKINGS WIN + PACKERS WIN#6 seed, wildcard weekend at Dallas (Vikings get #2)
LOSS + VIKINGS LOSS + CARDINALS WIN#5 seed, wildcard weekend at Minnesota (Cardinals get #2)
LOSS + VIKINGS LOSS + PACKERS WIN#6 seed, wildcard weekend at Minnesota (Cowboys get #2)
So if Dallas loses, they are automatically the 6 seed correct?
Oh and farg motherfarging Dallas by the way. This game next week is going to be farging sick.
game is not on nbc because the nfl "gave one" to fox because they dont have the superbowl and nbc stole a bunch of their games earlier in the season.
i didnt know the nfl had the right to mediate those discussions, but apparently they do. but i like the 415 spot better.
I read something that the number of NBC games has to be evenly split between NFC and AFC by the end of the contract and the NFC is ahead by 4, so this closes the gap...
Quote from: Eagles_Legendz on December 29, 2009, 12:45:08 AM
So if Dallas loses, they are automatically the 6 seed correct?
yup because they lost to Green Bay head-to-head
that was from gargano, who works for fox
he said nbc wanted this game real bad, but then fox whined and complained the nfl stepped in and said no. to be fair, nbc/espn took 1 out of every nfc east matchup, so fox does have a right to bitch about them stealing eagles/cowboys again.
This is going to be the ugliest loss ever.
actually they are going to win this game. so long as it doesnt come down to a last-minute drive where mcnabb needs a touchdown.
Great, so we get Joe Buck. I can just hear it now.
I hope the Eagles blitz thier asses off like they've done for the last two years and take Romo outta' his game. Dallas is playing well though. They will be ready for this game after getting stomped the last two years.

Didinger is picking the Cowboys to win because of the Jamaal Jackson injury but thought the Eagles would've won easily before that...
The Eagles lose to Dallas? How is that even a possibility? After all this team has won six straight games!
Plus Andy Reid's Eagles are something like 10-5 against the Cowboys

Quote
1. Can the Cowboys Offense score more than 14 points in this game?
No. In the second game played by the Eagles and the Cowboys in every season from 2000 on, the Cowboys offense has never scored more than 14 points. The Cowboys offense has scored 13, 3, 3, 10, 7, 14, 7, 6, and 6 points over those years in the second meeting between the teams. The Cowboys have only scored over 14 points in the second meeting of the two teams one time since 1996 - in 1999, when they got 20. They have not scored over 21 points in the second match-up since 1994, prior to Jeffrey Lurie purchasing the Eagles.
2. Can the Cowboys Offense avoid making multiple turnovers and allowing 3 or more sacks?
No. In the second game played by the Eagles and the Cowboys in every season from 2000 on, the Cowboys offense has turned the ball over at least 2 times excepting only 2005. In the second game from 2000 on, the Cowboys have comitted 2, 4, 3, 2, 2, 1, 3, 3, and 5 turnovers in those games, and those turnovers have been critical to Dallas' lack of success in these games (1-8 record vs. Eagles in the second match-up). Dallas gave up points to the Philadelphia Defense in about half of the second games: in 2001 (two interception returns), 2002 (interception return), 2003 (safety), 2008 (two fumble returns). Dallas gave up 3, 3, 7, 3, 3, 2, 3, 4, and 4 sacks in those games. Again the only outlier is 2005. When you fail to score over 14 points on offense for 9 games in a row, there is a generally a reason.
3. Can the Cowboys Defense hold the Eagles to less than 16 points?
No. The Cowboys Defense has only held the Eagles to under 16 points 3 times in the second match-up since 1993. In 1998, the Eagles were held to 9 points, in 1999 to 10 points, and in 2004 to 12 points. In 2007, the Eagles voluntarily did not score a touchdown at the end of regulation to run out the game clock. I would only count that as holding down the Eagles scoring if you attribute Brian Westbrook's taking a knee to the devious mind powers of Wade Phillips and the Cowboys Defense.
4. If the Cowboys Offense cannot score over 14 points against the Eagles, and the Cowboys Defense cannot hold the Eagles to less than 16 points, can Dallas win the game?
Only if the Eagles give up points on offensive turnovers or special teams, or if Rich Kotite (Mr. 0-4 in second match-ups vs. the Cowboys) suddenly returns to coach the Eagles this week. There is a reason that Dallas is 1-8 vs. the Eagles since 2000 and 3-11 vs. the Eagles since 1995 in the second game of the season.
5. Okay, but can the Cowboys win in Dallas against the Eagles in a late season game with playoff implications?
No. The Cowboys have not won in Dallas in December against the Eagles since 1999. They lost in 2002, 2006, 2007 at home in Dallas to the Eagles in December. The Cowboys also blew it in December at the Eagles in 2003, 2004, and 2008. The Cowboys blew a shot in the playoffs in the game in 2008, nearly blew the #1 seed in 2007, blew the division title in 2006, and blew the division title in 2003. That's a lot of choking for such a short period of time.
I need this victory.
Goddamn these bandwagon fargs down here are aggravating
This game is very troubling as a Eagles fan, when they got the Oline solidified it is no coincidence that they won 6 straight. The thing that concerns me with the Dallas D is that it is playing at a high level at the right time. Spencer has really freed up Ware.

great stat except that the difference between this year and the others is that jj was coaching the defense, not mcdermott. not saying that mcdermott isn't doing a good job, but there's almost a 10 year body of work to grade jj on not to mention that his familiarity with the cowboys players and coaches from coaching against them for so long also puts things in his favor. of course, i hope that trend holds true this week.
2. Can the Cowboys Offense avoid making multiple turnovers and allowing 3 or more sacks?

this is going to be huge. reid has had a lot of success against dallas during his tenure so hopefully he keeps it going this week as well.

Its always a good game against these chumps. I cannot wait for this. More excellent time management, can't even blame that one on Reid.

Chirst. What a way to start a game. Two blown drives that should have been TDs. They wasted a timeout and a key turnover.
Hire Houston Nutt!
Why can't they stop Whitten or Barber?
Troy questioning why Witten is so wide open? Has he seen the birds LB's cover a TE this season?
wtf?
this game was over before it started.

eagles need to show a 14 man front

Asante will get toasted 5 or 6 times, miss a few tackles (really miss) make a pick and all is forgiven. Same old shtein with this guy
Well, if they're lucky they'll probably go into halftime down by 10. They'll have survived the first half, and they'll be sure to make some second half adjustments and come out swinging.

Not surprised you're here to blame him for it all already.
It's a shame he's not out there letting cowboys players run by him on defense.
oooo wow 17 points in the first half against a solid offense.
the defense is average to mediocre. this is about what youd expect from them.
mcnabb overthrows pimp, misses a wide open maclin albeit it was still catchable, promptly drops a snap, and then runs something that maybe resembled a half-hearted attempt at a two minute drill.
just a lifeless, gutless first half from a lifeless, gutless qb who clearly would prefer playing in september against atlanta than any kind of big january game.
lol.. the offense could be giving the defense a rest and a chance to regroup. they also could've scored any number of times if it wasn't for mcnabbs inability to perform the simplest of football tasks. the defense is bad but the offense could still be making a game of this.
lololol okay you're right it's all on McNabb.
There defense might be average but they're playing way below average right now.
its not all on mcabb you dumbass trailer park trash loser, but the reason they have 0 points is on him.
could the defense have played better? of course. but realistically you figured the eagles needed to get to 24-28 points to win. they have 0.

which really shows how farging stupid and clueless he really is. he pulled mcnabb from the b-more game last year at halftime when they were only down by 3 yet in a game where they are getting blown out, he leaves him and everyone else in there knowing damn well the playoffs start next week.

You have to show up to quit.
Don't know who's post game comments I'm more eager to hear, Fatty or McNabb.
if reid had any farging balls he'd walk to the locker room without shaking phillips' hand like buddy used to. the fact they are wearing the hats already is just mocking the eagles and they should take it as disrespect, but andy and his pet donovan will just laugh it off and go on their way.
What's to respect? They rolled over and took it all game long. The Eagles should be glad Dallas didn't yell at them to go make them a sandwich.
farg! I really wanted one of those cheesy NFC East Champs hat. I guess I'll settle for the #6 seed hat. Those are cool!

Richmond isn't the only major city in Virginia that has opted not to televise Sunday's game featuring the taterskins.
The Norfolk FOX affiliate reportedly has dumped the taterskins-Chargers game. Sports director Bruce Rader explained the decision by telling the Virginian-Pilot that the taterskins are "unwatchable."
Like the FOX affiliate in Richmond, the Norfolk station will show the game between the Eagles and the Cowboys instead.
:-D
they dumped the wrong game.
I don't get why all you are getting so pissed over this game. Doesn't everyone else expect another loss sometime in the playoffs? The only thing this game did was give them the opportunity to lose sooner.
They say they expect them to lose to sound unbiased and savvy, but in reality everyone keeps hope alive in them that the Eagles can win a Superbowl.
HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA its starts with me!! Holy fargin Christ for the 100 zillionth time he said it again!AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH my 8 yr. old is even mocking him as he speaks. Farg you Andy
FOX confirms 1pm Sunday
What Needs To Be Fixed Most For Playoff Game Against Dallas?
Offensive line - 6.9%
Defense on third down - 8.3%
Coaching adjustments - 7.8%
Opening of game - 2.8%
Every phase of team - 74.2%
From Spudz latest poll :-D
98.9% linebackers
it was unreal how badly dallas exposed that group
options for that poll should be:
head coach
quarterback
runningback
defense

Their LBs provide no second level. As soon as Dallas got through the line they were into the secondary because the LBs were invisible, and this isn't even discussing the LBs being useless dropping into zone coverage.

yup....you have to wonder why it took so many weeks for a team to expose them...me and my boy today called out the dallas' gameplan in the first quarter yet mcdermott couldnt figure it out in four quarters
Yeah why the farg was Trotter getting so much playing time? Some with Fouku. I'd really rather see Gocong and hobbling Jordan out there. farg it, throw Tracy White out there. Trotter and Fouku suck.
gocong is the worst lb in the nfl
he got benched this year......does it get worse than that...benched on the eagles?....for real?
He's not good by any stretch but he at least plays an average, unspectacular game a lot of times. I'll take that over the slop they put out there tonight. It might was well be Witherspoon and any-two-names at this point.
no hes not average
hes pathetic
has been since his first training camp
like the lil guy (and everyone else thats ever addressed you) said....do you even watch the games?
im guessing its tough to watch the game from your uncles rape basement
He can't cover worth a lick but yes he has played very very average games. At any rate, his play has been far and way better than Fouku.....is there really any argument to that? How can you at all defend Moises? He's the new Al Harris without the ability to cover guys. If he aint makin plays, and keeps gettin penalties, get him off the field.
I woke up this morning with a bad feeling. I mean, from the minute I woke up, I felt loss.
Weird, because I never feel that way.
foku is a 100th round rookie pick and has beat out gocong for the job
end of story
exactly

The biggest fargin joke is Reid, Dmac and this busted ass play calling. How in the hell does he get away with the same old dribble over and over about it being his resposibility. Id like to know what the farg mcdermott was thinking playing a cover zone on almost every play in the first half. sure its easy to say now, but christ you gotta adjust when dallas is picking up chunks of yards running the ball like that

the eagles put up 14 quick points against the giants and the defense wasn't giving them an inch to start the game. that didn't stop sheli from throwing for 500 yards and at least making a game of it.
bottom line is that the eagles got punched in the mouth early in the game and threw in the farging towel.
bottom line is the strength of the team is obviously the offense. the D is sketch at best. i said earlier during the game you know its over with 10 minutes into the 3rd. the problem is the score was only 17-0. not pretty but certainly not insurmountable with weapons like pimp and mac. the whole team showing was a disgrace, but the offense is certainly more to blame.

well you didnt say week 17 so no that didnt happen but in 93 they got ripped by dallas in the regular season and then gang raped in the playoffs by them
yea i was 5 and that team won the super bowl and had 3 hall of famers at qb rb and wr.
this team has tony romo, the ghost of marion barber and someone named miles austin.
its different.
its a white off btwn black doods named miles and donovan
im pretty sure miles didnt blame his yearly january choke job on "inexperience."
the "young guys"
Defensively the game plan they came out with was just horrible. WTF was McDermott thinking? They didn't play that way all year and they decide to play soft the biggest game of the year. Yes they were on the field all game, but they might of blitzed 10% of plays.
The McNabb bashing is a bit ridiculous. He was pretty damn accurate when they were still in the game. Every receiver/te droped at least one pass that was catchable. Yeah later he threw some bad passes but for the most part McNabb was on. My only gripe is he didn't scramble nearly as much as he should of. He also looked bad on the deep throws.
Oline - garbage. I wanted McNabb to run if the pass wasn't there but the pocket was blown up so many times he couldn't even run. Every lineman is to blame.
Westbrook - again I said it last week. He's just average. No elusiveness what so ever. He has no game changing ability right now and shouldn't be taking the majority of plays. In fact I think he's throwing the offense off a bit right now. I did see him pick up a few blitzes nicely, but that's his job.
Bottom line is Dallas punched them in the mouth early and was the better team yesterday. Their OLINE dominated. They blitzed the hell out of the Birds and played like our D should of played. They did exactly what they needed to do. Score early, and force the Eagles to pass. Birds ran the ball 5 times by the half and DeSean was the leading rusher. WTF happened to that balanced offensive attack that got them that 6 game winning streak. What happened to McCoy and Weaver combo that looked so good. How can they abandon this when it works so well! Its drives me crazy. And a big WTF goes out to the D. They blew it. McDermott shtein the bed big time.
Well they got alot of work to do by Saturday. If they can't adjust and learn from the 1st and 2nd games, then they don't deserve to win.
good god mcnabb needs to go. that comment was absurd even for him.
if only Desean Jackson was older, then McNabb would've hit him in stride on that long pass
the one time all year he over threw desean :boom
he underthrew him a million times so there's that at least.
"We showed our youth in situations where everyone began to look around to see who was going to make the play instead of stepping up and making that play," McNabb said. "And that's something that comes with the territory when you have a young group."
From the leader of the offense who is above every player in that huddle I mean I cant even....
he was misquoted, obviously.
:-D
They didn't want to take a chance on not getting a bye, so they took it yesterday and lulled the cowboys into a false sense of security. We've got them right where we want them. Awesome strategy, really.

McNabb needs to get the farg off this team. The more I read that quote the angrier I get. He's a caricature of himself at this point. You can even predict what he's going to say after their next loss. I don't care if Kolb is the answer. It's impossible to root for Donovan.

everytime I hear "we showed our youth, everybody was looking around waiting for somebody to make a play", am more dumbstruck than the previous time. how the farg does he come back from saying that, short of winning a Super Bowl? he took the young nucleus of the team, as a group, and blamed them for the game. is he that dumb that he doesn't realize that if there is a lockerroom problem stemming from this that he will be the one that pays for it, not mccoy, maclin, pimp, celek, etc...
The same way he can blame the defense after the Arizona game. Because he's a farging moron. Everyone on the team has to hate him. You know if he somehow wins a SB the first thing he'll do is address the people who "never believed" in him. farging die donovan.
mcnabb admitted to westbrook in the denver game that he was going for avant, over threw him, and just happened to find maclin who made a great catch which set up the winning fg.
in the presser, mcnabb said it was a well executed play bla bla bla.
so hes so pathetic that he cant admit he made a poor pass and got lucky. what do you think hes gonna do when hes the key reason his team lost yet another big game. take the blame? no. hes gonna blame everyone else except himself because its everyone elses fault why donovan hasnt won a ring yet.
hes a petty, whiny baby. a gutless, selfish, boring, corny, lame, ignorant human being. get off my team and take your controlling mother with you too.

not too sure about this Mo...you look at all the city papers the receivers are quoted pretty much admitting they sucked ass
maybe to the papers, but you really think they like being sold out in his presser when they are talking about it amongst themselves?
no is doubting the wrs werent good. no one was good. but for mcnabb to insinuate that they lost because of 'youth' is just typical.
in fact the answer was a response to a question about the fumbled snap---so it was really a direct shot at nick cole. even though mcnabb blatantly took his eyes off the ball and in no way shape or form was that fumble on cole. its simply typical donovan blaming everyone else for his yearly january shortcomings.
weve been down this road 1000 times with him. some people buy in then get mad. some people constantly make excuses for him. others know whats gonna happen and accept the inevitable.

Because that's what athletes with any farging heart do. They don't play well and they admit it. Really simple. McNabb doesn't play well and the first thing he does it to explain to everyone how no one else played well either. He acts like a coddled 9 year old.

absolutely not--who does
and like I stated before the quote is mind-boggling as usual with Mcnabb, but the receivers dont have to say shtein. if you got the receivers talking to reporters fulling admitting they dropped passes and missed some big play opportunities the rift might not be there like you say.
now the shtein talking amongst themselves Im sure happens all the time regardless.
I thought I heard McNabb started the press conference by saying "I was awful"
He can say he's awful because he'd get killed even more than he already is if he didn't but then keep your mouth shut when it comes to the rest of the team. For once be the leader and shoulder the blame. He takes the first chance he gets after every game to spread the blame to as many people as possible.
And I love how we are all taking as if we know the dynamics of a professional sports lockeroom.
DIAF. all of you.
anybody find the footage of DJAX getting in the face of Maclin after that last long throw by Mcnabb when his testicles hit the turf at the 10 yd line?

yes...he started off the press conf as he takes full responsibility...for the fumble on the shotgun snap
what i cant believe about donovan is that they have a road playoff game this farging week
hed still be a gutless coward if he said it if the season were over but the fact that he said it six days before a playoff game is just awful
terrible terrible leader
Any shot Donovan is gone with a loss this week? I'd say about 20%.

oh goodie...don't know about you, but i cannot WAIT for the Kolb era to start. :puke
haha
as if the mcnabb era has been nothing but sunshine and lollipops
Mcnabb won games. Was exciting to watch.
Kolb blows. Period.
kolb very well might suck but its tough to judge him on 2 games.
mcnabb has a 10 year proven track record of doing exactly what he did this year. play well at times. play poorly times. with the poorly always coming when you need him most.
ill roll the dice on kolb. if he stinks, then we rebuild with a new coach. such is life.
I have no idea whether or not Kolb will be a good quarterback. McNabb is declining. He's a good, albeit inconsistent qb, but he's not going to get any better. Couple that with his grating personality and I'm taking a deal for Donnie if a decent package comes along.
Kolb will have a stellar offense around him, and he'll get them the ball, which should help him be no worse than average. Whether or not he gets them the ball consistently and the playcalling improves, it should at least be interesting to watch every week.

whats miami's draft pick status like? they would probably be interested in mcnabb and im under the impression that parcells loves him.

I think Miami believes in Henne
I figure the teams that might be interested in Donnie are:
-Denver
-Carolina
-Seattle
-Jacksonville
I think the Rams and Oakland probably aren't good enough to look at McNabb seriously (though I guess it's hard to predict what Oakland ever does). Those teams probably would have interest.
lol at this discussion again.
McNabb is staying.
Then he needs a contract extension. You don't have your franchise qb go into the last year of his contract. It's ridiculous on both ends because McNabb will bitch about it and the Eagles take the risk of letting him walk and getting nothing AND what do you do about Kolb next year?
You either re up Donovan for 3 yrs or get rid of him after this season. They aren't going to do nothing with him.
You're right and I think we'll see that happen.
Unless Heckert takes over his own team and wants to offer up a lot for McNabb. But if they decide to deal Kolb, then he'd take him in trade.
I have to admit, that stadium is pretty sweet. It has an anti-septic feel to it, mostly because everything is still brand spanking new. But it's also got that carnival theme to it, which is par for the course for Jerrah.
And it was deafening yesterday.
I think there is still a sizable enough market for McNabb that they'd be able to get a decent amount back in a deal. Should be an interesting offseason.
lol @ sizeable market for mcnabb
dook would love to playing jacksonville
There are enough teams on the cusp of being average/above average with horrible QBs that could easily make a play for McNabb. Delhomme/Garrard/Orton are all quarterbacking decent teams that should have interest in Donovan. Also Seattle probably wouldn't be far out in the NFC West with anyone other than Matt Hasselbeck. Maybe I'm wrong and there aren't a handful of teams that would be interested, but I think there would be.
i cant imagine they would deal him to an nfc team but i suppose anything is possible if they get the right offer
St Louis
Ha. A team that needs to rebuild at every position is not giving away draft picks for a 10-year veteran with a self esteem problem who throws everyone else under the bus when problems arise.
damn right anything is possible
Buff
Miami
Was
Den
Oak
St. Louis
Ariz (if warner is gone)
Seattle
Clev
Minn (if Brett is gone)
Jacksonville
TB
Carolina
No market.

Exactly. You can cross out Washington being in division and TB drafted Freeman in the first rd this year, but there are a lot of teams that should be interested if the Eagles decided to trade him.
Trade him or re up him. He won't be playing on a one year deal next year. And if I'm forced to sign Donovan for 3 more years or deal him and get a decent package back, the decision is fairly easy.
Miami, Denver, Minn, Jacksonville, Carolina, Washington. That's it for possibilities. 5 of those teams are a QB away from being competetive now. The other one is Washington so anything's possible. None of them are in start-from-scratch-rebuild mode. Rebuilding teams with some sense will not be shelling out money and draft picks for a McNabb.
there wasnt a huge discrepency btwn jason campbells year and mcnabbs
wouldnt surprise me at all if shanny keeps him and he does real well under a real coach and offensive system
Probalby not. It'll be his umpteenth new coordinator in umpteen years. Campbell's career isn't over, but its been completely wasted.
i think campbell's got some skill and could have been a pretty good qb in the nfl had he played for damn near any team other than the taterskins. maybe he can still be salvaged but dude's got to be fried in the head from having to learn a new offense nearly every year. i don't care who you are, not even joe montana, tom brady or peyton manning could be successful with that much turnover.
Another thing I noticed when I watched the game on DVR...
The Richie Kotitesque wasted time out on the punt. I thought Reid did that but the TV showed Ted Daisher calling it and then proceeded to get his ass chewed by Andy. A rare burst of negative emotion from the big fella.

No, REID called the TO. he admitted it in the press conference. Daisher screwed up by having not enough guys on the field for the punt.

No, PG - he took the blame for it.
Go back and check it out. Daisher tapped himself on the chest and said "that's my fault" and then when they came out of commercial break it showed Reid jumping his ass.
The "fault" was farging up his special teams and not making sure he had enough guys on the field....Reid said he called the time out.
It was Daisher who called it PG. Reid was deflecting blame.
Reid also says it starts with him and he needs to get the guys in better posistions to make plays etc...which is true a lot of times. But I have no doubt Reid tries to take any and all blame even when the blame isn't his.
I don't care who called that is the second time they have called a TO before a punt. Really? Once was bad, twice is just inexcusable. Reason number god knows what this team won't win it all with Reid as the HC.
my bigger problem was, and still is, Reid's unfathomable choice to kick a 53 yd FG on 4th and 2 in Dallas territory.

actually I HAD written that, but erased it for some reason LOL
my impatience wanted them to go for it obviously because they down 17-0, but you cant fault a team going for the 3 points at the start of the 3rd quarter, and if successful only being down 2 scores.
akers was on fire making fg's up to that point.

What the farg is WRONG with you? You can't fault a team for going for 3 points? You sure as hell can! It was the dumbest call of the entire game.
no it wasnt. you need points on the board in a game like that....and it was the start of the third. 2 yard pickups have never been easy for this team

if the defense wasnt so horrible AND if it was like a 35 yard fg AND it was 3rd and 8 that might be valid
in that situation down 17 going for an extremely low % three points with only two yards to go was beyond stupid
Oh good grief.
You're down 17-0. 17-0.
You've shown ZERO killer instinct all game.
You're getting blown out, on the road, in the most important game of the year.
You just ran the ball 8 yards.
You've been passing all game so running the ball again would have actually been another surprise to the defense.
You NEED a TD to change the momentum of the game RIGHT THERE. 3 points wasn't going to do it.
You're a moron.

You're getting blown out, on the road, in the most important game of the year.--not a blow out..take it easy
You just ran the ball 8 yards.--the pass was incomplete prior to 4th down

not to mention had Akers made it nobody would be bitching...plus he missed it by a toenail
theres no such thing as being on fire from 50+ yards...its a low % play for even the best kickers and is a crap shoot at best
17-0 at half isnt a blowout?....even if you dont believe that you had to follow the game to know that 17-0 was not even close to as bad as the game actually was

fully aware igy, but reid does not think like that...never has. hes not going to show a defeated attitude at the start of the 3rd quarter and go for it. he has too much confidence in akers
you get the 3 points, you look for a turnover on defense that gets you right back in the game with another score. the argument is valid had it been the 4th.

I was watching it with a bunch of my friends and pretty much no one could understand why they went for a FG at that distance.
The only hopeful thing I can think of is that the Eagles were playing conservative and resting up for the playoffs.
Or it could just be that Reid can't prepare the team for a big game. Sigh.
Resting them for the playoffs. You know when's a good time to do that? The bye week they could have earned.

Any chance its a fat Mormon with a recent contract extension? A loss like that just might be a win.
well there aren't many veteran players on the team, so that pretty much limits it to McNabb, Sheldon, Trotter, Akers, Howard and Curtis. Which one is buddies with Sal Pal?
Doubt it's Akers and Curtis didn't play. Trotter might be buddies since he's been around for a while, but there should be 0% chance he's back anyway. I can't imagine McNabb talks to Sal Pal, so that leaves Sheldon and Howard. I don't think Sheldon gives a farg about the organization or has any worries of being cut, so if I had to pick someone from that list it'd be Howard.

technically veteran = anyone but a rookie...especially if sal pal wants to really protect his source
anway every linebacker but bradley could/should be gone (this includes real veterans like gaither - gocong - witherspoon - jordan)
every DE cept killa (this includes veterans juqua - clemons - abiamiri - howard)
mikell gone
sheldon could be gone
shtein even samuel who along with killa posesses the only blatant talent on the defense has mostly only shown up this year against zesty quarterbacks
his picks this year against delhomme - josh johnson - jemarcus russell - alex smith - orton - jason campbell

point being theres a very healthy list of "veterans" that could be talking to sally
