I'm looking forward to this game like a cancer patient looks forward to chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
Eagles should position themselves for a late 1st round draft pick. Not as late as those that make the playoffs...but late enough where they get another guy that will not matter.
Another tie: 13-13
Jared Gaither aggravated a shoulder injury and is questionable for this game, so they might have an injured backup starting against Cole
so coles sack total will be higher then their point total.
forfeit.
well since the ravens are so good defensively against the run (minus the giants game) reid will be completely justified in his head to pass every play.
first three plays:
1st down: pass-incomplete (bad throw)
2nd down: shotgun formation delayed hand off...2 yd gain...goodbye running game
3rd down: dropped pass would have been short anyway.
you forgot wr screen reggie brown gain of 1

i cant even imagine what the ravens defense is going to do to the eagles...throw on top of that that they also have a coach who will know every single play the eagles are going to call and you have a recipe for big time disaster
not to mention that the Ravens still have something to win for

i want them to lose every damn one of them, just to ensure Andy see's the door. And even then i dont know if he will get shown the door.
Ravens have a better offense than people give them credit for. It's taken Harbaugh one year to make a rookie qb a winner, something Billeck couldn't do the whole time he was there. Flacco has a good arm and pocket presence, and they will be able to run against the Eagles.
No way the Eagles win this game. McNabb will get sacked at least 4 times, maybe 8.
This game has the easy potential to be very low scoring. I dont see them running on the Eagles as easy as you think Shore.
Willis McG is all banged up, so now you rely on Rice and McClain who havent done that much all year against a pretty good run defense.
and the Ravens are not a big sack team this yr, they rely alot on press and zone coverage for TO's
If its turnovers they want, they're going to get them in bunches.

mcnabb had all day against the bengals. imagine what the ravens are going to throw at him. can it be safe to say he throws at least 4 INT's? i can't wait to see reids "game plan" this week. HA! actually i can't wait to see the post-game press conference...he might explode

Great play calling so far, 1 run out of shotgun first play of the game, a delay of game, and 4 straight passes one resulting in a sack. So much for establishing the run on a team that got gashed for 200 yards last week.

Is it just me, or does Reid look like he's been hitting the Cheese steaks pretty hard lately?
for their part i have to give it up the defense. they have played really well.
sure its against a rookie QB and last week was against cinci but after the giants mess they have pleasantly played well.
and why is it that the eagles can not run screen plays anymore. they used to be called the best in the league. now i see maybe one successful screen play every three games.

Andy Reid call more than 20 runs in one game? That's unpossible!
Lito needs to be gone too

Thank You, God!
We needed this game, now there is no excuse not to send Reid packing Monday.
If it doesn't happen, I'll burn my Mamula jersey.

Not like Kolb played well
he did not but he is pretty much a rookie at this point and he is being thrown in a pivotal game with the season on the line against the ravens D and with no running game to help him.
i understand mcnabb playing terrible and maybe he does deserve to be benched but this game? its not fair to kolb.
did you really expect kolb to play awesome?
Try Feeley next week. If that doesn't work, just line up DeSean in the backfield on every play.

Welcome to purgatory - how long will the team wander in it until the next upturn? I wonder how porn stash's cake is holding out given the market? Bramen and Tose both had money problems that extended the misery. Sounds like they don't even have the $8mm to pay the city.
How can you pass the ball with second down and an inch to go for a touchdown? Not even Reid/Morningwood can be that stupid, can they?
Time for both of those corksuckers to go. And send Jim Johnson with them too. CLEAN fargING HOUSE.

-- everyone on offense stunk, not just Donovan and myself
-- no decision on Thursday yet for starting QB
-- "unacceptable"
-- has not talked to McNabb since halftime
-- deflecting any questions about the team quitting on him

HIM
After watching Gocong wiff on that big Mclain run, I've switched sides. He should be cut too.
Keep the following:
Trent Cole
Asante Samuel
D. Jackson
Bryan Westbrook
McNabb (use him to trade him for chester taylor)
Jamaal Jackson
Quentin Demps
Sav Roccccca
Blow everyone else up.
reid is a complete coward. sending his minions to bench mcnabb, what a joke. this is just an embarrassment of epic proportions.
PGL can't believe Reid was too chickensh*t to tell McNabb personally that he was being benched.
I feel bad for guys like Dawk, Tra & Runyan who've given everything only to have their careers end up like this.
good news: #13 pick after this week
Postgame Live guys are slamming Reid for benching McNabb and not telling him personally. How can you not tell the guy you drafted and have coached for a decade that you are going in a different direction in the second half? Not only is Reid an incompetent coach and GM, but he is going to tear this team apart with this shtein.
Gutless fat coward piece of farging shtein.

Well today we saw an adjustment. Benching McNabb and putting Kolb in. How did that end up? Seriously, what does he think is going to come out of putting your 2nd string unproven QB in the same offense that McNabb can't handle. ULTIMATE COACHING FAIL
FIRE THAT FAT BASTERD NOW

More Positives - now that they are pretty much eliminated, they will start tearing the league up. Not quite enough to make the playoffs, but enough to retain AR, McNabb, and kill their draft.
This team isn't good enough to start tearing the league up. They will in all probability lose out. The only game they have a shot is against the Browns. But playing this way, they won't beat any team left. Not even the Browns.

overall maybe...but not right now...
They scored 31 against the Giants 2 weeks ago. The '98 team was dead last in both points and yards, scored more than 17 points one time the entire season and had a stretch where they scored 23 points combined in 5 games. This offense was bad in September and October last year too but had that one fluke game against Detroit. They also had that bad stretch in '06 where McNabb got hurt (Jacksonville-Washington-Tennessee-Indianapolis) and they came out of that one. And remember the McMahon/Detmer awesomeness of 2005? This offense stunk at Baltimore. Shocking. I wouldn't be surprised if they put up 30+ against Arizona...

And the Giants defense is that good and they put up 31 points on em 3 weeks ago.
This has been the Eagles MO for most of this season...play up to good competition, but not QUITE good enough to win the game (Dallas, Washington, NYG) generally by getting off to slow starts and/or not being able to finish the game.
The Cardinals game will probably end up being something like 33-29 or some weird high score like that. Eagles lose by 4 again.
This game was 10-7 at halftime and McNabb should not have been benched.

Man, that picture really says everything you need to know about the season.
What the Ravens were thinking... (http://www.philly.com/philly/sports/eagles/20081124_Eagles_-_Ravens_stunned_to_see_a_stranger_as_Eagles_quarterback.html)
QuoteThen again, the Ravens expected plenty of chances for picks.
"They've been throwing the ball 40-plus or 50-plus times a game. You throw the ball like that, eventually, you know, something's got to give," Reed said. "Either you're going to have an awesome offense and everybody's going to be talking about you, which rarely happens when you're throwing the ball 50 times because you have no running game."
The Eagles entered yesterday's game averaging about 40 pass attempts per game and about 24 rushes, a little more than a 60/40 split. Subtract the 35 runs by the scrambling McNabb and gimmick-play ballcarrier DeSean Jackson, a wide receiver, and the split is more like 65/35.
"It's not just one guy. It's not just McNabb," Reed continued. "Your offensive line might be struggling a little bit. You're not running the ball as much. You've got to help your quarterback in this league. You can't just drop back and throw the ball the whole time. We knew that coming into this game. When you become that predictable, it's going to happen. Especially against a good defense."
Certainly, McNabb's recent performance warranted head coach Andy Reid at least considering replacing him. It's just that the Ravens couldn't believe they would be facing . . . who was it again?
"I think it was unfair to bench Donovan. I was glad. Donovan's an All-Pro quarterback," said Samari Rolle. "I'd never heard of Kevin Kolb."
Players around the league are just watching in amazement at Andy Reid and the little world he's living in.
Thanks Feva
my dog is limping now
Two weeks in a row a member of the opposing team has publicly said that Reid's play calling is so predictable, that they knew the game before it happened.
If it was Ravens and Giants? Ravens and Titans? Ravens and even Cowboys, you could sort of understand that these are good teams that got to be good by game study. But the freaking Benglas knew?
Time is gone, Reid. Pack up all your fat clothes and head out.

So anyone want to talk about how Reid went into the game with two active running backs?
2 players at the most-often injured position? With one of them already banged-up?
Basically, lorezo booker is worhtless and they have realized this, and decided they would rather have an 9th defensive lineman start than him, but how can we really only have two backs that we are willing to give the ball to?
There is no one on the street? Has Denver signed them all?

it really is unbelievable...how is this guy not fired on the spot
and its two afc teams...its not like its a division foe that is super familiar with the eagles...what an abomination
Everyone is super familiar with them... because the gameplan never changes... and the last two weeks have been a perfect microcosm of that.
The offensive gameplan for the Bengals (who were something like #25 ranked D) is exactly the same as it is for the Ravens (#3 ranked D) as it will be against the Cardinals. Pass, pass, pass. Andy feels his shtein works, regardless of the strengths/weaknesses of the opposing defense.
methdeez, who needs running backs when you don't run the ball?
Feva, Reid feels his shtein works regardless of the strengths/weaknesses of his own offensive team too
