vigy will needle me for starting this thread, then he'll read the whole farging thing.
Nice deep kick.
ugh. screen killed us there.
Nice job getting off the block, Trotter.
nice over throw. thankfully.
Thankfully because She was open if the pass was accurate.
And now She makes a 16 yard catch.
thrashing our run d already.
well not that time but the previous play.
Patterson made that play. 3rd and 2.
Romos from shotgun trying to tell the idiot Cowboy fans to be quit, tosses an incompletion across the middle that Lito Sheppard bats down nicely.
Good stop.
sheldon with the crucial stop
is it just us Dio? merry christmas. hope you got all your heart desired.
It burns when I pee
westy with a huge pick up on 3rd and 1! woo!
a run on 3rd and 1. Reid is obviously not calling the plays.
Schoebel TD.
TD IGGLES!
Schoebel??? oh yeah !!!Schobel!!!!!!!
Nicely put-together drive for the touchdown! :yay
Ha ha! It's a Christmas Miracle!!
Cowboys fumble on kickoff! Iggles recover!
YES!
Woo hoo!!
just scared the livin crap outta the wife and dogs.
Damn...INT
god damn it. garcia throws pick to henry.
BAD decision. :boom
well crap
Well, now we just need a stop on 3rd and short.
:-\
time for an int and run it all the way back.
That looked like an Andy Reid-style run. :D
Mike Patterson just ran down the play. Nice job.
Thomas and Patterson both put hands on Romo to no avail.
god damn it thomas.
its dawkins time
ROMO had lots of time
one more time!!
Ha. Who'd a thunk the D could make a goal line stand?
Suck it Biff!
WHAT A STAND! :evil
Wow... amazing...
reminds me of some of those historic goalline stands of the past.
and now for a 97 yd drive to score aTD.
well of course theres no foul. what would make anyone think the Eagles would foul?
M&M just said that Andy Reid has thrown on a higher percentage of plays than any other coach in NFL history.
In other surprising news, a lot of Christmas gifts are going to be returned tomorrow.
Savvy play on Garcia there dumping off to the right place and showing patience enough not to drill the ball into Buck's face.
fake it!!
just make it
Thank you.
crap !!
Lookin good ;D ;D
I wanted seven, but I'll take three. For now.
Nice to see them sticking with the run again.
Nice to see the defense make a stand like that.
Hopefully they'll make it so they don't have to do that again.
Fg attempts from the one yd line suck!
Dawk int for a TD!
NOW
Dawkins wiffs the tackle on TO better than anyone else.
ummmmm....
How is that a penalty, that ball was uncatchable...
now homo scrambles for like 30 yards.
get the stinkin ball
well crap
T Farg O :puke :puke :puke
ugh. way to farg up the momentum we had.
FUTO
why am I more nervous watching this game than I was watching the Super Bowl? I've had a knot in my gut all afternoon.
forget the fg now
Are you farging kidding me? TO on D, and Greggie Lewis sets Akers up for a makeable FG.
wow, nice play by lewis.
c'mon akers!
Heads uo by G-Lew
Heart goes bang bang bang....whew...he made it.
ok, headed to my sister's house after the game and the farging egg nog had better be spiked like theres no tomorrow.
Solid, efficient half there. The INT by Garcia was the only real blemish on offense. He had Donte there too but double clutched it to avoid it being batted down.
Rod Hood's penalties each week are becoming motherfarging aggravating.
Great FG drive to end the half.
13-7 at the half. The Eagles NEED to finish this strong. Heck, I need the Eagles to finish this strong. I want to live to play Civ City Rome.
Need a long drive for a TD to begin the 3rd.
Dallas scored that TD way to easy.

The int was a blemish but the worst blemish was leaving 4 points on the field
LJ!!!
What a smart little dump off. Garcia knew exactly what he was doing on that.
66 for LJ :-D
sweet jesus!! yes!!
Now, a farging run play please.
i don't dig this shotgun inside the 20.
They need to go for this.
PUNT!
field goals suck
1st and ten inside the redzone, and three straight shotguns...
Nice playcalling...
i'm not nervous, i'm not nervous, i'm not nervous.............................
I'd rather take the three then get stuffed like Dallas...
16-7 27 mins to go
This is bullshtein, do the Cowboys have a penalty yet?
Trent Cole is not bad against the run. Trott lucky to be in position for the tackle on Witten there.
Did anyone touch Glenn?
Darwin shows up for the second game in a row.
Darwin Walker with the sack. A festivus miracle.
nice
FUTO good job
Owens couldn't handle the pass, or Dawkins.
Jesus, they dodged a bullet there. T.O. with the drop.

Lets see a flag for Garcia ruffing Ware :-D :-D
OMG Garcia took Ware out
damm, DeMArcus Ware sure looks like charles Haley.
Garcia's gonna need skin grafts when this season is over

Thank you Philadelphia Eagles for ruining Christmas for Bill Parcells and the Cowboys and finally exposing Tony Romo for the flash in the pan that he is.

Wow, what a game.
Eagles O and D lines are both the mans.
Westbrook & Buck are also the mans.
Dawkins INT was the shiznit.
Andy Reid is going to have my babies, even though I wanted him fired like a month ago. ::)
TO wishes he could touch Garcia's butt right about now.
Anyone else catch TO's postgame conference? He was wearing a red coat and a Santa hat with COWBOYS across it, and he was pouting and whining the whole time, saying the team didn't get him involved early or often enough, he's a playmaker, he doesn't want to step up and be a leader and just wants to lead by example, waaaaaaaaaaaah. He then walked off to the waiting arms of Ro$enhau$.....
Eagles own Owens. I don't know why, but it seems to me the Eagles always contain great players. Even though he pretty much contained himself with the 3 drops or whatever it was.
The only downer about today's game was Owens making it through in one piece. Other than that, it was pretty much the perfect game.

He also said the entire team needs to get better. From the
coaches, players, etc. The first thing he said was the coaches too. I know he doesn't give a shtein that they lost, he wanted to show up the Eagles and has failed twice. Total non-factor.
wow...what a game. they dominated from the very start, just incredible. the defense came up big again. if they keep playing like this....
If anyone here would've been told the Eagles would go 5-1 in the division this year and only be 9-6 you would've laughed at them. What a crazy year this has been.

Romo sort of has a Bobby Bouchet thing going.
I can't say enough about the birds, watching that game with my Bro-in law (skins fan) and his bear fan brothers was so sweet, two of his brothers bythe end of the first half were cheering for the birds, what a gift by the eagles. And T.O. oh boy he can shut the farg up, McNabb and Garcia beat that A$$ in the same year, Cocaine Mike and Prime Time better put him on suicide watch.
From ESPN's article about T.O.:
QuoteWorse yet: T.O. is unhappy.
With a somber tone contrasting the goofy Cowboys-branded Santa hat on his head, Owens griped: "I need to be more involved in the offense" at least three times in a 7-minute news conference.
He absolved Romo for it, hinting as he'd done before that the play calling is to blame. :paranoid He insisted that he needs more balls early rather than late, a strange statement considering both his catches -- for 23 yards, with a 14-yard touchdown -- came in the first half.
As for himself, Owens didn't see anything wrong with visiting the Eagles at their hotel Sunday night ("That's my time, you know? ... I'm not going to shy away from my friends for anybody") and had an excuse for dropping a deep pass at a pivotal time in the game.
"He bumped me way down the field," Owens said, accusing safety Brian Dawkins of breaking the rules. "By the time I looked up and located the ball, it was right on me. ... I thought they were going to throw a flag."
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was in the same grouchy mood, calling the team's performance "just pitiful."
"I'm just stunned," he said. "I think that under these circumstances, with the players that I believe we have on defense, I didn't think there was any way in the world ... that we'd not be able to get this done." :flipoff
I love it
I thought TO was out of bounds on that ball.

Proof that Payton Manning sucks? I think so.
I love the ball control offense this team has suddenly put on the field.
They won time of possesion 37:06 to 22:54. Bwest had 26 carries for 122 yards and 4.1 yds. per carry avg. Cbuck had 8 carries for 38 yds., with a 4.8 yd. avg. and a Td. Garcia only threw the ball 23 times for 15 completions. The Eagles had 20 first downs rushing, and 10 passing. That stat is amazing considering what we've seen from this offense in the past.
The first scoring drive was 13 plays for 89 yards using 7:12 off the clock. The next drive ended in a FG but took another 7:36 off the clock with 12 plays for 89 yards. The last drive that ended in Cbucks 1 yd. Td run was 12 plays for 80 yards. Time of the drive, 7:00.
It was great to watch them methodically move the ball downfield. I hope they can keep this up into the playoffs.

Who would have predicted AR doing this? Seriously? After last seasons McMahon debacle pretty much everyone thought the Eagles would pass into the abyss once again. The Eagles have a OL designed to pound the ball (and have for years) and we finally get to see it in action.
As many others have pointed out in this and other threads, this needs to carry over into next season to help McNabb and give the "D" some rest.
BTW...can any Eagles fan possibly read enough about yesterdays game?? No one in the media gave them a chance. ;D
You can't win football games on a consistent basis against good teams without running the ball successfully. Keep the ball out of the other team's hands and you have a shot against anybody.
I swear, if Andy hasn't figured that out by now, he must have a brain the size of a pigeon's.
If he goes back to his pass happy ways, 50 plus percent and the most of any coach in history, then I'll call for his head. He can't be that friggen' hard headed to not see what a balanced attack is doing with the same personel he had when McNabb was playing. McNabbs arm doesn't make that friggen' much of a difference to call a game the way he has called them in the past. It doesn't work when you need to control the ball and keep the good offenses that you see in the playoffs off the field. Those long sustained drives yesterday were perfection on the field. It was just friggen' beautiful to watch. And the D feeds off of that also. They come in rested and ready to knock some heads off. They had a great pass rush yesterday. You could see in the first half, they were starting to get close. I told my buddy, we will see a sack and a turnover in the second half. In the second half they were all over a supposed mobile quarterback, forcing him into bad passes and turnovers. It was great to watch.
Best Christmas present ever.
Just to chime in... Awesome. It was the best Christmas present I got in years. I'll be on cloud-9 until next season no-matter what happens next. I know Dawk and the guys have bigger goals though. :D
livin in NNJ at a family friends house for Xmas day, 3 Cowboy fans, 3 Gints fans and me the only Eagles fan watching the game. It almost got ugly with the degenerate gambler Cowboy fan, he was SOOO PISSED that i was vocal during the game, after the game he went outside, probably to let his bookie know the check is in the mail, he came back in the house 2 mins later and grabbed his coat and left with his ugly bitch of a wife. Best Xmas in a long time, not only to see 75,000 Cowgirl fans go home with a sack of coal but to piss of Cowboy fans in my own presence, PRICELESS!
From Elias via ESPN:
Quote• The Eagles completed their march through the NFC East by taking a 23-7 decision in Dallas to clinch a playoff spot. That win came on the heels of road victories against the taterskins and the Giants, marking the first time in 19 years that any NFL team has won three consecutive games -- all in the division and all on the road.
The last team to do that was the Saints in 1987. In consecutive weeks, the team of Jim Mora the Elder defeated three NFC West rivals -- the Falcons, Los Angeles Rams and 49ers -- all on the road. The only other team to do that since the 1970 AFL-NFL merger was Washington in 1971.
• The Eagles qualified for the playoffs despite losing five out of six games during the middle of the season. Over the past six seasons (2000-2005), only one of the 72 postseason teams lost five of six games at any point during the season: the Jets did it in 2002.
• Andy Reid now has a 12-4 (.750) record against the Cowboys. It's the highest winning percentage by any of the 16 individuals who have head-coached at least 10 regular-season games vs. Dallas.
Only three head coaches have had 10-or-more regular-season wins vs. Dallas: Joe Gibbs (14-15), Reid (12-4) and Bill Parcells himself (10-8).
• Philadelphia showed fine offensive balance in its victory in Dallas, gaining 204 rushing yards and 222 passing yards. It had been more than 26 years since the Eagles last won on the road while gaining at least 200 yards in each category; in September of 1980, the Eagles beat the Vikings, 42-7, in old Metropolitan Stadium, gaining 249 yards on the ground and 280 through the air.
• Tony Romo had a season-low 45.5 rating on the 29 passes he threw on Monday. Although Romo has topped a 100 rating in four starts this season, the Christmas Day game marked the third time in the last four games that Romo has finished with a sub-60 rating.
• The upshot of the Eagles' win in Dallas is that, should the Eagles defeat the Falcons next week, the Cowboys will face the prospect of opening the playoffs on the road. No one has to tell Bill Parcells what that means: He's 7-1 all-time in playoff games in his own stadium, but 2-5 in playoff games on the road. (His 11-7 overall postseason record also includes a 2-1 mark in neutral-site Super Bowls.)

From Peter King before the game:
Quote
Philadelphia at Dallas, 5 p.m. This is the time of year that dreams come true, right? If you're from south Jersey or Philly, the gift you really wanted for Christmas would be the most unlikely division title in recent Eagle history. In order to do that, the Birds need a win at Dallas. That would make Philly and Dallas 9-6 with one game to play, and it would give the Eagles the tiebreaker edge by virtue of a series sweep with the Cowboys. But I don't see it. I see the bubble bursting because of a great game from Tony Romo, and no drops from Terrell Owens. Dallas, 27-17.

Not even Harry Kalas' golden baritone can save that nauseating show. I can tolerate Marino (barely) but the rest of them should be tossed into an industrial-sized meat grinder.
Trent Cole is an unleashed animal on the field. I love his nastiness. He needs to chill though. He's going to seriously kill someone.
Rod Hood and Sheldon Brown need to chill on the illegal contact and holding penalties. I've been disappointed in how Sheldon has played this year.
yeah, im not sure what he was doing on TO's TD, he was caught flat footed in the endzone.
Sheldon has been inconsistent all year.
Alright, did anyone noticed that Shawn Andrews block yesterday on the Dallas linebacker. It was a 3rd and short rollout pass that Garcia tucked and cut back through the center of the field. Andrews just destroyed the guy. I saw it coming a mile away. The guy got manhandled.
Another great was a run play by Dallas. The FB tried to block Killa but got decleated, tossed to the side and Cole crushed Jones in the backfield.
Man we just straight beat their ass. Anyone else care to share a o-line mauling or D-line raping momento from last nights win?
ESPN showed a great play were both a lineman and fullback were pulling out to block Dawkins on the outside and he took them both out and the runner got tackled.

I think you can officially say Andrews is one of the top 5 guards in football. He is getting better and has basically only played last year and this year. Great pick by Andy and the Front Office :yay
I saw that Dawk INT replayed like 10 times since last night and each time I can't get over how good of an INT that was. Some WRs wouldn't have even caught it.
Darth made a Willie Mays basket catch on that int. Best part of the play was TO standing there unable to do anything after he taunted Darth when he caught the TD.

yeah, im not sure what he was doing on TO's TD, he was caught flat footed in the endzone.
I watched that again and here's what I think happened: Romo was out of containment and it looked like he was heading for the end zone, Sheldon looked like he decided to leave T.O. and go make the run stop, Romo pulled back and lobbed the pass to crackhead in the end zone.
It was a case of indecision on his part, and although it was a bad play, I can't fault him too much for being aggressive and heading for Romo, especially when he may have thought he had safety help coming from the middle to cover Owens.
Sheldon was one on one with Owens in the endzone with no help. Mistake number one. Owens is going to win that battle 9 out of 10 even with help.
This was awsome. I don't care if we won 2-0. Swept Dallas. Gonna with the NFC East. With Jeff Garcia. 3 NFC East road games in a row. farg Dallas. farg Homo. farg To. farg Jerrah.
It was a whole lot of fun indeed.... I got to see last week and the week before as well ;D ;D ;D. Maybe even this week (though not live, as I will be celebrating New Year's)... (damn 6 hours time diffference)...
that 4th down sack at the end of the game was priceless, no one who was watching the game would even talk to me afterwards. Cowgirls fans are lame, if the Eagles lost i would atleast tell them good game etc.
One of my buddies that lives in Dallas sent me a text message before the game and told me the Eagles were going down. After the game I asked him where he he was now? "Dallas and everybody is pissed off!" I sent a message back "I am not." That made him real happy.

I loved the Buck TD where Andrews stunted and knocked the shizzie out of that diving linebacker. I nearly spilled my wine cooler on that one....

I nearly spilled my beer, 8 ball and hooker on that one....
Edited for manliness.
Not sure if it was mentioned, but the Eagles are actually the 3rd team since the AFL/NFL merger to win 3 straight road division games (1971 taterskins, 1987 Saints), but they're the first to do it in December...

That video warmed my soul.
If Hollywood made a movie about inbred, hick Cowboys fans, they could not cast a part more perfectly than this douchebag. I imagine that most of you are familiar with this guy's work throughout the season: Youtube - Halen88 (http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Halen88)
Dallas Mafia (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iwIrwlkkhew&mode=related&search=): This is why I have hated Cowboys fans since I was 7.
