QuoteOn February 28, 2006 from 7 AM to 2 PM IHOPs across the country will celebrate National Pancake Day (also known as Shrove Tuesday) by offering our guests a free short stack of pancakes*. This is going to be our biggest one day celebration in our history.
National Pancake Day has a rich history that stretches back centuries and has always been a time of celebration. National Pancake Day always falls on Fat Tuesday and this year it will be a celebration at IHOP.
So gather your friends, family and neighbors and come to your local IHOP and enjoy a short stack of pancakes on us. All we ask is that you consider making a donation to a great charity like First Book or other local, worthy cause. Where else would you celebrate National Pancake Day than IHOP? See you there.
* Limit one free short stack per guest. Valid for dine-in only, no to go orders. Not valid with any other offer, special, coupon, or discount. Valid at participating restaurants only, while supplies last.
while supplies last?
how can a house of pancakes run out of pancakes
Was about to say the same thing. I pass one on the way to work, I'll stop in and get a short stack with a glass of water with some sugar in it, and a lemon wedge.....those are free too, while supplies last.
There's an IHOP along AIA in my hometown here in Florida, and I swear, there is never anyone in there unless it's high tourism season.
You can literally drive by there on some Sunday mornings and not see one car.
During Race Weeks & Bike Week the place is literally bursting at the seams with white trash, though.

Our little one loves chocolate chip pancakes, and like PG, she also likes just a few chips in them.
If there are too many, she won't eat them, plus she refuses to eat them with butter & maple syrup. Finicky little brat, that one.

there are 4 boxes of chocolate chip Eggo's in my freezer right now. seriously. there was some buy 1 get one free deal and my girl loves them. i'm more of a salt fan, bacon and eggs is breakfast. chocolate chip pancakes/waffles are dessert.
I'll bet there's an orphanage near by, drop her off there for a week or so. She'll never be finicky again.

Here's proof:
The final homicide case of the year in Ocean County resulted in two Lakewood men being charged with manslaughter, a less serious charge than murder, in the death Dec. 17 of 27-year-old Steven Kysniak. Kysniak, of Lakewood, was struck several times during an altercation in front of the IHOP restaurant on Route 37 in Dover Township. Robert Douriet, 20, and Aaron Williams, 19, both of Lakewood, are charged with manslaughter for allegedly landing the blows that placed Kysniak in the roadway of Route 37, where he was run over by a car.
Kysniak died from multiple trauma and internal injuries to his torso, authorities said. The driver, Suzane Jacob, 21, of Leeward Avenue, Beachwood, left the scene of the accident but came forward to authorities the next day. She has not been charged.I am told by someone who would know that this was over a table.

The main problem with NY diners is: No one has ever heard of porkroll or scrapple.

thick slices of pork roll with cheese, onion and mustard on a kaiser roll is some good eatin

That's one menu item that the shteinkickers down south can usually get right.
There's a place here in town that makes corned beef hash that equals any I've had in Jersey/PA.
For whatever reason, though, no one can seem to get creamed chip beef right. It's either too thick and lumpy or it's too watery.
