Snow would probably be the better analogy.

Saw that too IGY, and I've never seen one before.  Kinda surprising considering everything is still soaking wet.

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

So that Weatherboy Weather guy posted this map today:

and then added this 6 hours later:

QuoteA winter storm responsible for heavy snow in the midwest will move to the east coast tonight, bringing snow from Michigan to New York. A second storm associated with the first will pass through the region bringing more snow to the region tomorrow night into Tuesday morning. The snow total map posted earlier today is for snow totals from now through Monday night; additional snow is likely beyond this period. The second system may bring an additional 4-8" of snow above/beyond the snow totals posted on this map for portions of southeastern PA and the southern half of NJ.
