It's been gorgeous here all week.  Upper 70s and low 80s during the day with mild humidity and fairly cool at night.  Still need the AC to sleep because I like it cold enough for a blanky, but still...

Yeah, I'll stop whining about 90 degree October weather now.  At least for a couple of days.  Then it'll be whining about 90 degree November weather.

Whoa

200 mph sustained winds.

Basically it's an enormous F5 tornado.

Lolol

Now they're saying we could see 17-20" of rain.

Because it's so flat here it starts flooding after a little shower. We had 11" in 12hrs on Memorial Day and it looked like Armageddon.

This'll be interesting

Gusts to 250. Add in the potential for 12-20 foot waves and heavy rains. What doesn't blow away or get smashed by storm surge will be hit by mudslides. Crazy.

What's worse is see reactions from people at the resorts saying that they want to "ride it out." I guess they have no idea what sustained 200 mph winds are like.

Given the type of people who hang out at those resorts all the time, I'm not considering it such a bad thing that they want to ride it out.
