There's a hole in the wall seafood place next to a pawn shop on the Roosevelt boulevard called the American crab company I've driven by a thousand times. Technically it's in trevose but it's right beyond city limits. The place has been there forever but over the past two months people keep raving about the place. Sign out front says Americas best crab cakes.i tried their two award winning crab cakes which is the rock hall (fried) and cape may. Hands down best crab cakes I've ever eaten. The crab/shrimp stuffed potato and stuffed mushrooms were decent, but their crab cakes are out of this world. If you're ever in that area check the place out.

come down and visit ill take you to some places that will blow your mind....outside of md all the crab meat comes from the far east or maybe the gulf...you need some chesapeake blue crab in your life

Best crab cakes I ever had was at Maloney's Beef & Beer in Margate.  That was close to 25 years ago, though, and it's long gone now.

The Crab Trap in Somers Point has crab imperial that would bring tears to your eyes.

Crab cakes are the worst. The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that somewhere there is a crab cake that doesn't suck. "Oh you're just having them from the wrong place." "Oh you need to eat this/that kind of recipe."

Bullshtein. I've tried crab cakes at a dozen or more restaurants on recommendations from many people. Crab cakes suck and you're all pawns in an elaborate crab cake hoax.

No. There are no good crab cakes because crab cakes suck. This is not a matter of taste, it is a matter of fact. How do you farg up crab?! It shouldn't even be possible. But put it into a farging patty and suddenly it tastes like someone's dirty palm while still inspiring mouthbreathers everywhere to soil themselves in imagined flavor extacy.
