Remember the days when "we" were the tv remotes for our parents ?

Good times

No, you old coot, I don't remember.  The tv we had when I was a kid had a remote because we weren't still fighting in Korea.

:-D

Im pretty sure the Korean was wasn't fought in the 70's capt crunch.

No, but it was when Rome was turning the dial back and forth between Bonanza and Gunsmoke on his pop's boob tube.

We used to have to go up to the roof and move the antenna when Jack Benny was over and it was time to switch over to the Texaco Star Theatre.

Grew up in Honey Brook Township.  No cable there until after I went to college.

I think the first TV we had with a remote was in high school.  Was a Sony System 3.

The cord was long enough to run across the room with quite a few feet to spare. It was definitely a tripping hazard.

Those things were super satisfying to use. Also I remember being able to descramble the Spice Channel by messing with those buttons and the dial.

A scrambled spice channel still was worth W at Hong as a teenager.  :evil
