Not crazy talk at all. He's cooked. If he didn't have a no-trade clause, he'd be gone after the season for sure.

Unless he wants to be gone, which is doubtful, they are stuck either keeping him or eating a bunch of dead cap space. So look for them to draft his successor in the 2018 draft and have Eli play the starter/vet mentor role next season. Next year will be a rebuilding year with a new coach anyway.

anything is possible but i cant imagine a scenario where dan snyder lets a player go much less a top qb because of money.....id be shocked if he wasnt signed long term by washington but at the very least they will tag him again
