Ok so we know the Eagles won't pick a QB, a guard, a kicker or punter.  They won't take an OT or center either.  So that leaves WR, TE, RB, CB as the favorites with DE, LB & S as outside possibilities if the right guy falls which they won't, so they're out.

Based on all the hype and noise, we have to assume that CB might be out at #1 after Rapey McRaperson got bounced.  There's no one there at 14 who would be worth it, so unless they go wayyyyy up or down significantly, that's out.

There's only one bonafide TE prospect worthy of going at 14 or higher and he'll likely be gone, so TE is out.

That leaves WR and RB.   Fournette and McCaffery will be gone at 14 so that leaves Cook and probably the only possibility unless a Howie goes up past 8 to get a White Lightning.  I just don't see that happening and as much as I would LOVE Cook, I don't think he'd be right for Dopey's system.

That leaves us with WR's.  So Davis, Williams or Ross are the choices.

I love Williams.  He's really the total package but I think someone will grab him up before he falls to Philly.  That leaves Ross and Davis.  Ross has injury issues, he's small and isn't known for being much more than a speed guy.   He's incredibly fast and is a good route runner, but I just don't see the Birds going with a Pimp clone here especially considering how tight they are off the field.

So, that leaves Davis.  The only knock against him is the competition he played against.  Considering the guy who'll be throwing to him is from Buttfarg, ND, I don't see them being put off by that.

Therefore, with the 14th selection in the 2017 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Corey Davis, WR - Western Michigan.

I'm saying Corey Davis too. He's prob the one I'd want them to take the most.

McCaffrey could go to Carolina which means Fournette drops. Then I'm in a dilemma.

PhillyPhreak54

I'm also ok with Derek Barnett

Not ok with Charles Harris or McCaffrey

I just don't think a DE is what's needed.  They need weapons for Wentz to grow with.

Rome

Mayock has them somehow taking Williams at 14.

I would squirt myself if that happens.

a lot is needed which is why you take the best non QB or S on your board and this includes a DE as their pass rush sucks

I wouldn't be upset if they traded back to get more picks

Geowhizzer

Who would be the absolute worst (realistic) pick at that spot?  That's who the Eagles will take.

General_Failure

There's too many options for that. QB, linebacker sized DE, trade back for picks next year.

The man. The myth. The legend.

QB Eagles

They will take a good prospect at a position of need and most Eagle fans will be fine with the pick. Also, he'll be a bust.

there really isnt a bad pick unless someone fell that you didnt expect and the eagle passed on them....thing with this draft is it is not very strong at the top but is deep as shtein...which is why trading back wouldnt be terrible...however every team knows this so who is to trade up...eagles also need to replenish their second rounder for next year

if you want to trade back the only chance is probably going to be if some team has fallen in love with pat mahomes or deshon kizer and wanna come and get them....thats probably your shot...i mean its also possible that someone wants to come up and get a player with specific skills...like maybe someone covets john ross' elite speed and quickness which almost no one else in the draft has....or a system guy like hassan reddick who people love but is probably only a 3-4 guy...but other wise there just isnt really a gap btwn most of the top ten and the 20's...miles garrett....jamal adams and oj howard are the only special players ive seen

My hope as well. Maybe take a corner at the end of round 1, pick up an extra second, take the best available RB and another CB.

Just from listening to the experts who call into the local radio shows a lot of talking heads like Derek Barnett. I wouldn't mind that pick. Really haven't followed the draft close so I guess I'd be fine with either Corey Davis or Mike Williams.

Rome

History has repeated itself so many times with these fargheads.  If they trade up its for McCaffrey.  I wouldn't be thrilled with that but I could understand it.  I also think it would be a mistake to trade down too far.  There's a lot of quality at the top.  Not many can't misses but enough solid potential Pro Bowl guys up there.

I just hope Howie resists the urge to grab the national spotlight and do something really idiotic.

Just get a solid guy that can help improve either 11 and I'm good.
