My nephew's first stint there was with the 24th MEU, and his second was with the 2nd Marines. My brother-in-law was with the 1st Marines.

Well, thank you again. We had our fingers crossed with him. One month before he was set to leave, his Humvee hit a mine/IED and threw it pretty good. He and the other 3 all made it, Kevin with no more than a banged up leg. It kept out of the field for his last month though.

That's mighty kind of you.  As far as the "Go farg yourself" part, I understand completely. I lived in Mercer County in NJ from the mid 60's until the late 90's, and heard plenty of similiar sentiments in my time there. Have some pity on me though. My one brother moved to VA in 1978 and morphed into a 'Skins fan, and my nephew, when he became a football fan, decided to go for the Giants just to spite his father and his uncle both. Ironically, he ended up going to school at St. Joe's.

I'll "poke" around here now and again.
