1991 - Luby's Cafeteria in Killeen - 23 killed
1999 - Wedgwood Baptist Church in Fort Worth - 8 killed
2009 - Fort Hood - 14 killed
2017 - Sutherland Springs church shooting - 26 killed
2018 - Santa Fe High School (Texas, not New Mexico) - 10 Killed

It's not exactly rare.  This was just a quick search.
