I was listening to Sportstalk980 down here in the DC area, and Sal Pal was on there with Kornhieser.

Sal Pal said AR is upset because he flat out asked TO if he understands the money is in the first and third yr, TO said yes. AR asked if TO understood only the first two yrs were guarenteed, TO again said yes. AR specificlly asked TO, do you have a problem with this contract and will you become a problem over this contract, TO said NO and NO. Now TO has gone against everything discussed, and the FO is pissed. Sal Pal added the Eagles appear to be ready to suspend him for the yr.

It also appears to have elevated to the League Office. Not only do the Eagles want to prove a point with TO, but the NFL doesnt want the Eagles to give in on this matter. If the Eagles give in while the NFL is trying to renegotiate the CBA the NFL fears things will spiral out of control. This issue is bigger than the Eagles vs. TO

I think it would be a big mistake. Sometimes I take Andy's word for it, sometimes I don't. In this situation just like with Trotter, it would be a huge mistake. Andy is a great coach, but he's not perfect. I would be mad at Andy if he did it, and would be mad for quite a while. Suspending him is ridiculous. TO is wrong, but cmon we need his production. If TO doesn't show up for a game or two then I'd understand, but right now?

With that said I did say that I severely doubt it will happen. Andy isn't dumb and that would be a dumb move. I'm not putting a gun to your head and telling you this is the right way to think. You don't have to agree with me on this situation, but don't act like I have no right to disagree with the man. I can only go with how I feel on a situation. I'm not going to lie to myself.

I have trouble believing that story.  Since when does AR ever let anything like that out where would Sal Pal come up with that source? It also makes no sense to suspend him for the season.  Bottom line IMO is that the Eagles don't need TO to get tot he SB, but they do need him to win it.  Hell even Ike Reese said it after he left town.
