how do you get windows media player to play a folder of songs in the order you want them....ive named each file starting with the  a number

fo example: "1 - name of song" - so that song 1 will go first.... but when i try to play them all windows starts with a different song every time...and no its not on shuffle
i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

ok so its playing them in order when it starts....but its not starting from song 1....its randomly starting from different songs and then playing them in order after that....how do i get it to start with 1

I'm the worst and windows media player, I love it but I have to get lucky to remember how shtein works on it.

Step zero: Run Windows Update, you probably haven't done that ever.

Step one: Make sure shuffle is turned off
Step two: Right click, View List, make sure songs are actually in the order you want
Step three: You're terrible at technology, download WinAmp and be mocked some more

i did all that.....but once i have view list and everything is in order how do i ensure when i play the whole list that it starts with song 1

already did that as well

then i shift end to highlite all the songs....then when i right click to play it starts with random songs rather than the first song

this looks like a pretty cool ass laptop to have around the home for browsing and going online.

this doesnt have a hard drive tho right...like you wouldnt have word or excel on it would you?

i think you could still run word or excel but you couldn't save documents to the actual computer.  the article says you get 100GB of storage on their cloud service so that is where your doc storage would be
