Andy disciple, Brad Childress, punted the ball down by 2 scores on 4th and 13 with 2:00 to go yesterday. Saying that he liked the way they were playing defense and thought they could get the ball back. With no timeouts.

NFL SUSPENDS ERIC SMITH FOR BOLDIN HIT

Chris Mortensen of ESPN reports that the NFL has suspended Jets defensive back Eric Smith for one game, and also has imposed on him a $50,000 fine, for the hit that knocked out Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin on Sunday.

The league determined that Smith launched himself into Boldin, and struck Boldin in the helmet, with Smith's helmet.

At a base salary of $445,000, the suspension will cost Smith $26,176, making the total price tag $76,176.  That's roughly the equivalent of three game checks for Smith.

Boldin looked to be seriously injured immediately after the hit.  But he is expected to be OK.

Honestly I thought the hit looked clean. HE didn't lead with the crown of his helmet...they actually kind of met facemask to facemask....it was just bad luck.

Pittsburgh's offense can't do anything against Harbaugh's team either....

Honestly they weren't able to do anything against the Browns either. Steeler offense has been horrible since the third quarter of the season-opening Texans game.
