I just finished up episode 7 of season 3. Just trying to fill in time before Breaking Bad starts in July.

Stringer's fall in season 3 is spotlighted, but Avon's fall is just as impressive.

ive watched the entire arc on dvd more times than i can count but lately my thing is to youtube particular scenes

its amazing how may great ones there are...most shows youd be like "remember that scene where _____________________ (fill in the blank)" and that would be it...it literally would be one off the charts scene for the entire run of the series...ok maybe not one maybe a few...but with the wire theres like 10 or more "wow" scenes per season

'ole bruiser be blind behind that fortified'....lol...and it hits you in the chest when omar hocks up a lunger at the end

Bunny Colvin is money in season 3. One of my favorite scenes is when all the Majors are in the elevator after getting their ass chewed by Rawls and Burrell. They're all cracking jokes about what they're going to do to fix the problems in their districts, Bunny says "I'm going to legalize drugs" and everyone laughs as the elevator door closes (can't find this scene).

In case that was directed my way, I think it's a great show. I'm on season 4, and I'm really enjoying it. The writing and acting are outstanding, and it's probably one of my favorite shows of all time. I also do not think that it's overrated, in general.

I do, however, think it's overrated by some on this board...which speaks much more to the hyperbole here than it does the show itself. There's a difference. I'm on board that it's a great show, though.
