Yeah, that's what I heard (I was still underage obviously) about the noise violations. The deck outside + the live bands = getting shut down.

They've put a couple smaller places in on the ground floors of the new condos they just built there, but they're not going to turn it into what they want it to be until they get a "fun" bar down there. Timothy's/Iron Hill aint cuttin it. Though I admittedly have never been to Timothy's.

perhaps you could explain sd's reasons for "disliking" it as well since you seem to be so in tune with other peoples minds

Saw U2 tonight in Tampa.

Their performance was outstanding.  The setlist had songs from every era of the group and they even played The Unforgettable Fire which I haven't heard them play live in about 2 decades.  They had a strange satellite hookup/interview with the guy who created Cirque Du Soleil who is currently on board the ISS.   Weird and completely unnecessary but still interesting.   With Or Without You was amazing.  Bono can still frigging bring it.

The stage is grotesque and incredibly distracting, though.  Hated that part of it, but then again, I've hated almost every stadium show I've ever been to, so...

I have a ton of photos taken from all over the stadium, but mostly from my vantage point stage left to the rear.  Not bad seats but not great either.

Oh, and Tampa, Florida is officially the worst farging place on Earth.  The stadium is a total shteinhole and the only thing worse than the stadium are the douchebag corksuckers who live there.  I've literally been to probably 1,000 sporting events and concerts combined and I've never seen a more farged up place from top to bottom than Tampa.  Just horrible.  Took me 4 hours to get there (traffic horrors) but only 2 1/2 to get back home.  Yay.

I bet you had your ponytail pulled back just like Bonos. Fag.

Nobody with hair, apparently.

The man. The myth. The legend.

Rome

I still have my hair.  It's getting grayer by the minute but it's still there.

So yay me I guess.

That looks like a nightmare. Stadium concerts are the farging worst.
Is rjs gonna have to choke a bitch?

Let them eat bootstraps.

Went and saw Dan Andriano of Alkaline Trio in The Balcony Bar at the Troc last night in Philly. His solo stuff is folksy and acoustic mostly, but I still dig it. He's one of my favorite song writers, even for the amount of cheese he writes.

I forgot the Troc was in ChinaTown....smelled lovely out there.

I'll be at the Pearl Jam concert at the Spectrum next Friday.  You care...

easy in philly. this calls for a celebration.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

PJ f'ing rocked again.  Ibanez and Eyre were backstage and there were a few LETS GO PHILLIES and F*** THE YANKEES chants between songs.  It was nice to visit the Spectrum one last time but it's time to go.  Too cramped...
