Holy shtein farg that was pretty cool

I bought Home Front used at game spot to try out for a week. The online matches I got in on were pretty cool. The better you do the more in game purchases you can buy like rocket launchers, missile strikes, tanks, helicopters etc...It's definitely a good 1st person shooter, but their servers are terrible. I couldn't find matches, join or servers were down more than I actually got to play. Took it back.

Sony's PSN online system was hacked a week ago, if you use their online services you might want to consider changing your passwords and bank account info. They're in a lot of shtein for not putting the hacking info out there right away.

That $5 per month XBOX live fee doesn't seem like such a big deal now.

So I preordered Gears 3 yesterday and got access to the Beta....seems pretty awesome so far, I just suck at it since I haven't played Gears in so long

I downloaded the new map pack for COD and was excited to play the zombie mode.  However, I didn't realize my harddrive was corruputed so I just spent 15 dollars for non-working Downloadable content.

Duke Nukem Forever came out somewhere in the world, I guess? Been playing it for a little while today. Might be fun as a rental, but I can't imagine buying it.

I usually stay away from melee games unless they involve swords or something cool but the zombie aspect of this game makes it intriguing.

Team Fortress 2 went free-to-play Thursday. I guess they're making enough money from the Mann Co store that they don't even need the money from game sales.

I suspect that's the direction that video games are heading in.  The games will be available for free/cheap download but you'll be limited to what you can do in the game unless you start buying the add ons like maps, weapons, vehicles, etc.  Pretty much like lite/paid versions of apps.
