the league didnt meddle?

embiid was injured. the team didnt include him on the injury report until the very last second for a national tv game. it looked terrible. the sixers have a long history of doing shady shtein. so they got fined.

that joel and the rest of them scroll twitter too much and felt the need to rush him back against GSW is another issue

The Sixers got fined $75k by the league. Who cares when he's added to the injury report. He's 7'2 250+ if he says he can't play because his knee hurts that should be decided by the team and their medical staff not some stupid nba butthurt rule.

"But the Sixers have a shady medical staff"...they're still more competent and tuned into their teams medical condition than the league.

the nba most certainly has a reputational problem with stars taking games off for no reason. this was not that, but it looked like it because of how it was handled. jo wanted to play, i make jokes but he wanted to. he couldnt. he wasnt fined. the team was. does anyone care if that group of sleazy jews is out 75k?

Nope...same as I don't want sleezy Jews telling star athletes and teams they don't even own they don't care if they're injured or "load management"isn't allowed it's hurting their bottom line. "Massa says you're fine shut up and dribble".

id be stunned if they outright missed the playoffs. theres 4 games of room for the 7 and 10 games for the 10. thats a tall order against some serious mediocre competition.

if joel is done of the year, obviously they should pull the plug and reset for next season. if hes not, its perfectly realistic for them to survive, get him back in april and gear up to lose in the 2nd round as usual

we all know he will definitely be back for the playoffs.  and he will play at 80% health, just enough to dominate a few games, miss a few games, and then limp through the rest.  Just like every year.  Honestly I just hope they lose to a new team rather than the Celtics in the second round.  I think it's time for the knicks to take us out.
