He's in the discussion for worst human being to ever play in the NFL. And that's quite a list.

yeah good riddance for sure just such weird timing. he just beat 2 murder counts last week. either he was like farg it, may as well waste a lot of people's time before going out. or maybe it was beating 2 murders and realizing it still doesn't atter he's never getting out of prison.

or i guess most likely it just popped into his head and he did it without thinking much into it.

A friend of mine who is an attorney said that he believes Mass is one of the states where once the conviction is vacated then the estate is no longer liable for civil damages. Additionally it allows his wife and daughter to be able to collect on NFL benefits and have his money that's left over

When I first heard they found him hanged in his cell, I assumed someone else in the prison didn't like the results of his trial too much. I suppose that's still possible if the guards were in on something, but a suicide seems more likely to me given the details.

Doesn't seem to be much point in trying to figure out what he was thinking. He was stupid and violent. There could have been a million different idiotic reasons he killed himself. I do reject any hypothesis that he did this for his wife or any other reason that is halfway intelligent or considerate for others.

I was with a friend who is a lifelong Patriots fan today and we were wondering how long ago Hernandez went to prison. He googled it and said the date was 4/18.

Also, whatever really happened Belichick has a secret tape of it.

some schedule shtein i noticed
-league said they were going to get rid of the 930 games, but 3/4 london games are 930. only one thats 100 is rams/cardinals, i.e. the one with 2 west coast teams. i personally like the 930 games but would hate if the eagles played in it.
-this is the best mnf schedule since espn took over. their opener isnt strong and they got vikings/bears at some point but otherwise there are no on-paper duds.
-is the nfl scared of baseball? they are putting steelers/lions -- hardly a premier snf game -- up against the world series. in previous years this was eagles/cowboys, packers/broncos, etc.
-the tnf schedule has changed. it goes: nbc, 2 weeks to nfln, 5 weeks to cbs, 2 weeks to nfln, 6 weeks to nbc. week 15 is the last week with a thursday game....previous years it was week 16.
-fox gets the first 2 national 425 games which gives romo about 5/6 games before hes on national tv 4 times in less than 2 weeks.
-the jags and browns dont have any primetime games. not even thursday. womp womp. but the dreadful bears have 3. 3!

market size doesnt mean much when youre going to be 3-13. i get them being on once or twice early on in the season...but their late season saturday game is totally ridiculous. at that point its really about trying to get meaningful games in national tv spots and nothing with the bears will be meaningful then.

Who is their late opponent?  If it's Green Bay it's understandable or even a projected playoff team.  Besides, it's all preliminary anyway with the flex scheduling.

its the lions and the game is on a saturday and cannot be flexed

it is an nfl network exclusive game and they by design do not get great matchups but even so for a late season national game you want to put something there that might be halfway decent

yeah its national but its not even like its a good time slot....saturday afternoon on nfln is garbage...

even with that tho i would not be surprised at all if bears lions out rates chiefs rams that day

its chiefs/chargers but yea it might

they werent going to change the schedule around for those games, but you have dolphins/bills, bengals/vikings and cards/wash which are all more appealing than the 2 nfln games....eagles/giants is that weekend but wasnt an option since both teams have maxed out on national games

fox has 8 425 games that go to around 90% of the country. 6 of these will involve the dallas cowboys.
