you dont watch espn so youve never seen an episode of nfl insiders or any of their other nfl shows hes on but if you had youd know how silly of a statement that is

forget the fact that theres no such thing as a human lie detector making it impossible for him to know if something is true or not he wouldnt have a job with espn if he only reported stuff thats true...not just because there wouldnt be enough information  to justify his position as the head "insider" but because espn would fire him for insubordination....the nfl and espn live off nfl rumors...other than live sports its makes up their exisitence....its a large part of his job description to throw shtein out there thats "hes heard" so they can have the rest of the network fire off hot nfl takes

you cant even believe how much he does it....their opening of nfl free agency show was a calamity with him sitting on the phone and getting up from the desk to walk away for a minute to take a call....it was hilariously cheesy....and he must have spit it out 50 billion free agency things he was "hearing" and about two of them came true

im not saying he isnt a real reporter or some troll like chris broussard or that he knowingly traffics in lies....i actually agree that hes one of the best but he also doesnt have some magic filter that gets rid of misinformation and he will not hesitate to throw out things he isnt making up but things that he cant confirm are true

half the shtein he says ends up being two segemts on first take every day and whatever the debate is over the thing actually never ends up happening
