I cant imagine that happening and frankly I don't buy it for a second but if it does or even if the rumor is true its almost like bryco is mirroring Howie getting rid of as many chip pieces as he can and doing the same by getting rid of as many hinkie magic guys as he can

nn - biggest piece in what is probably considered hinkie magics best move as gm
covey - his most successful needle in the haystack FA signing
staukus - main player in hinkie magics last big trade

even if its just nn for Teague it will be as devastating and short sighted a move as you could make and would be like hes just doing it to spite hinkie magic

Yeah except Chip's work needed to be undone.  You can argue if the process was worth it but jettisoning talent for no reason is what this would be.

At least that fake trade with the Bulls (NN for a pile of fossils and broken bones) threw in the Bulls draft pick. Even Jah who I like a lot less than NN shouldn't be traded for the kind of talent the team could feasibly buy in free agency.
