No relation.

But he's the perfect guy to run this offense. It's a shame they don't have the 2nd round pick but hopefully he slips bc he's a read option spread QB and they can snag him with one of their third rounders

I don't know a ton about him but know enough that I wouldn't think of using a 1st on him. but not even a 3rd or 4th ?

boykin is a late rounder that you hope one day will develop nfl qb skills....he will never start in the league

it would be insane to take him in the 3rd but even if you did there in the last 25 years there have been exactly 2 qb's drafted in the 3 or 4 round that would be considered even good much less "perfect"

I guess J is damp in his shorts over his inflated college numbers.

theres probably a 50/50 chance to make the league boykin will need to switch to WR....so yes j is out of his mind for wishing they still had their second round pick to take him....dook is like six foot tall

The odds of getting a mid to late round franchise quarterback are astronomical.  You get them in the first or maybe second.  For every Russell Wilson there's a thousand Colt McCoy's.

I don't blame him for taking a shot on Bradford because Sanchez sucks and Foles wasn't the answer in terms of arm-strength & athleticism, but if Chip isn't a total retard he uses the likely mid-first rounder he's going to have to get a franchise guy.  Sooner or later this misbegotten franchise is going to luck out.  Hopefully it's next year.

so who would be coming out the could be projected to be there (assuming it's a mid 1st) qb wise ?

gotta go o-line in the 1st anyway.

oh, and in the 3rd & 4th too.
lemonade was a popular drink and it still is

I didn't really think there was anyone worth it in the 1st but yeah, they need multi OL positions upgraded.

very risky to not take best availble in the first round but at the same time i dont know how they dont go OL or WR...of course a lot depends on what 16 FA looks like at those positions...its usually not difficult in FA to significantly upgrade on the OL...you arent going to get stud LT of course but you can usually have some success in OL FA....WR is more difficult....on the flip side its much easier to get lineman thruout the draft than impact wr's

so who knows....could be lunch meat could be peaches

There are some good offensive lineman that will hit the fa market this upcoming offseason, Okung, Yanda, Trent Williams to name a few. Chicago is in a rebuilding phase and I doubt they hang on to Alshon Jeffery. He has a bit of an annoying injury history but he's the exact type of wr this offense needs.

ice grillin you

DC already locked up trent williams balt did yanda as well...great lineman like that arent gonna hit the market but you can usually still get some good ones

totally agree on jeffrey
