How about at least 10 minutes in the OT?  Or maybe a whole period.  And, just maybe... let the farging game end in a tie instead of a Bettman 3-point special.

Agree with this. 75% of the time one team is gonna score 3 on 3. I don't mind there not being a winner. Shootouts are farging lame.

i actually like that idea...dont pretend to have a read into what the nhl is thinking but i can tell you twitter loves 3on3

hockey had ties for a hundred years before they didn't the reason for getting rid of them was solid...teams would try not to lose in ot

but that's hard to do for  five minutes of 3v3 and basically impossible to do in ten minutes

I hate the shootout but I hate a pt for a loss way more...that needs to go bad
