jakarr aint shtein don't get me wrong but the fact that Elton brand has a roster spot and he doesn't is a farging joke

Tom Moore said he will be brought back once he clears and Anthony is dumped

or hes going to sign a two year deal with denver

gotta be some kind of rule where if you cut a guy to make a trade happen, the the trade gets voided, you can "uncut" the guy.

not that i care in this instance because jakarr is trash but seems a bit unfair.

Sgt PSN

I was thinking the same thing.  If a trade gets nullified for any reason, then all subsequent roster moves that were a direct result of that trade should also be voided.

ice grillin you

you cant reverse all subsequent roster moves that could get potentially real messy and wouldn't be fair to the players...the union would never agree...you could simply have traded players not count against a teams roster until final league approval

either way the sixers deserve whatever they get for having elton brown eating up a roster spot....shtein you could have released him and easily signed him after the deal

the fact that they didn't do that tho tells me jakarr being waived had less to do with the trade and more to do with how the sixers felt about him

QuoteThe Philadelphia 76ers offered Ish Smith, Nik Stauskas, an expiring contract and a 2016 first round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Dennis Schroder.

Smith couldn't have been included in a multi-player deal since he had been acquired fewer than 60 days before the deadline, but he could have been moved in a second deal.

Smith is expected to have significant interest in free agency.

The Sixers and Hawks could revisit their trade talks in June."

assuming thats not the lakers pick i'd do that in a second.

and what has happened to oladipo, looked like he was turing into a stud last year.

All in all this makes sense....except the part about it being unfair to the player. If a player is released and isn't claimed, he goes back to his team. Be a professional, understand it wasn't personal, collect your half mil and try to ball out for a better contract.

If the released player is claimed or comes to an agreement with another team, then at least give the team a crappy draft pick at the end of the 2nd round or something. Or hell, just make that the rule whether the player gets picked up or not. Should be some sort of minimal compensation in place for a situation like this, even if it's pretty rare.

phattymatty

meh now that i think about it in the grand scheme of things, you're not normally going to have a team like the sixers who could literally cut 3-4 people without having a negative effect, and in this case jakarr actually makes out also. and a contingency clause or something is probably even more of a fleshpop move to the player.

hollis blows but i like it when he shoots well.

phattymatty

I think i've been confusing ilyasova and pachoulia's faces my whole life.

you can't allow a player to fly around the country negotiate a contract better his situation then say sorry bud deals off get back to where you belong

really it's a waste of an argument as the union would never allow this nor should they

the system is fine as it is but like I said if you want to change it just allow teams to carry extra players until a deal is ratified

MDS

how do you guys watch this shtein
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

Sgt PSN

Heavily intoxicated I assume.

phattymatty

i actually didn't watch past halftime yesterday. they were fun to watch again for a stretch but now it's back to shtein. defense is non-existent.
