Who exactly were the Sixers better off taking at that spot?  Is there a player anywhere near as good talent-wise that was selected after Embiid?

I'm not even a Sixers fan and I think Embiid was worth it there.

it was the right move but at the same time it's fair to rip hinkie magic for  doing it....he knowingly took s big man with foot problems...that's a recipe for disaster

Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

he looked pretty good against those chairs

1 year ago he was coming off the bench for kansas....2 years ago he wasnt on any DI radar.....hype machine does wonders

Sixer POTY!  This had disaster written all over it.

Never forget his reaction when he was selected on draft day.  Priceless.

it doesnt have to be a setback or reinjury to have another surgery and miss another season....it could be simply a case of the foot not healing properly (but not due to hurting it again) and needing another surgery to strengthen it up

can someone tell me why its the right move to draft an injured big man who might be good but not trade for an injured quarterback who might be good

they both are the right moves...you can argue the eagles gave up to much but they are rolling the dice on a franchise qb...the sixers are rolling the dice on a franchise player...the moves actually mirror each other quite closely

I don't know anyone who posts in all lowercase with all those ellipses. Now you're just making things up.
