if embiid-d-nn all play next year there will be a reason to watch. there simply wasnt the past 2 years.

"getting there" means what? the sixers are very boldly saying the only acceptable thing is an elite team that can contend for a title. so if they "get there" and they are the denver nuggets of the melo years -- basically the ceiling is the 2nd round -- then what?

yes next year or the year after the sixers will be good enough to make the playoffs....but they might never be good enough to win a title. then you wasted 10 years kicking a can down the road for a 5 seed that you couldve put together this season. there are many ways to build a good team. look at the warriors. look at the hawks. it didnt have to be this way.

what SG's could be available in the 2nd round ?

will probably never be a legit full time starter but i'd like them to grab RJ Hunter if he's around in the second. probably one of the best jump shooters in college last year.

Q: Where would Dario Saric rate in this draft if he came out this year instead?

A: Top 10. But maybe higher based on the NBA's infatuation at the moment with playmaking fours. Saric is one of the best playmaking fours I've seen in the draft for a while. Saric would be very intriguing to teams. I think given the way the NBA is playing right now, he could be a very valuable piece for the Sixers when he decides to come.

everything i have been reading lately is that increasingly it looks like angie will not be there at three (towns/russell 1,2) and mudiay is falling and could go as late as 6-7...obviously some of this is most likely gamesmenship

The Lakers threatening to take Russell is posturing to see if Hinkie will bite and send them their pick back. He won't. I'm fine with Okafor or Townes. Both are going to be solid pros and are very tradeable.

im sure the lakers are postering (not to get their pick back thats lol worthy) but its more than that...ive read quotes from numerous scouts and front office guys that think angie might be the best player in the draft much less #2
