basically they couldnt get mazara or gallo so they settled for every other AA/AAA player with a slim chance of becoming a ML player. and also matt harrison.

i wouldve just held on to hamels. eat 2016 and spend some cash in 2017, try to win. but for a boob like roobin and a fossil like gillick, this is what you get.

there might be enough there to go buy up some FAs in 2017 and try to become competitive again. remember, that year they will have around 150 mil to spend. the big thing theyre gonna need is a frontline pitcher (duh).

I'm basically okay with it, they got multiple guys who might one day be part of a winning Phillie team. Hamels was never going to be again. Did they get a star? No but that was pretty much what we expected. There's going to be some boring-ass baseball for a while.

It's not exciting, but restocking the farm and maybe getting some mediocre guys into spots currently occupied by zesty guys is a start. Meh.

Will be interesting to see how the money shakes out.

It'll be up to the next GM to fix this mess up.
