im not sure they have the prospects to get it done. their selling point is taking on the contract, which to me, is unessential. i gotta trust middleton that doesnt care about that.

texas is still in the lead. gotta come away with (1 of) mazara, gallo or odor. add that in with alfaro and its not a horrible pull.

Getting rid of him and his mouth is far more important than getting anything in return.  Its too bad Washington is the landing spot because, well, we'll have to see and hear him more than we would if he was sent to farging Seattle, but still... good riddance, icehole.

the guy they got back is a longshot to be a ML pitcher...if everything works out hes an average, nondescript starter.

about what you could expect for papelbon. fun part here is rooting against the nats in the playoffs, even more ammo now.
