i definitely want them to get the 1, but the fact that they are playing well is perhaps a sign that they have some talent on the roster....which means they might turn this around before 2021.

His biggest problem is his walks are down this year. His power numbers are back up but his OBP is zesty. If he was sitting around .340 with his OBP I think they'd be able to move him by eating lots of his salary. As is, not so sure.

They're not going to compete for a playoff spot for at least as long as his contract runs. No one is going to give anything in return for him and even if they did get someone to take him off their hands, they'd have to pay almost all of the money left on his deal.

They're stuck with him, end of story.

they also have no other option to play 1B, i think thats the biggest thing (dont say rough)

if there was someone pushing choke out the door, like hernandez is with utley, youd probably see him gone. but since he has no real value on the trade market and you have no real option for even next year, youre basically just stuck with him.
