Huh?  This is precisely the year for a playoff. Oregon and Bama might be the concensus favorites, but the fact that you have an undefeated defending National Champ still out there (even though they don't ever win convincingly) is the perfect reason for a playoff. Under the old system, FSU would finish 1 or 2 and either Bama or Oregon finish the year at 3 and don't even get a chance to play FSU.

The ironic thing is FSU would be guaranteed a slot in the NCG because no undefeated power conference team in the BCS era would be shut out with everyone else have losses.

I don't know how they'll do against Oregon but they're undefeated and they belong in the conversation.  Those of you who are crying over it are funny, though.   You're acting like any of this matters.

romey is right...in a poll system fla state would have never not been number one and oregon or bama would be out right now...which would be just as disgraceful as ohio state being in

and no one is crying over florida state....i just dont believe that they are one of the best four teams in the country right now...that said they are undefeated so i dont have a huge problem with them being in....in fact one of the best things the committee did was not have them 1 or 2 just because they are undefeated....they went with the best teams at the top despite record....and thats what its supposed to be about the best four teams....actually it kinda seems like you are the one that upset romey

ohio farging state is what im really pissed about....if tcu was okie or texas and ohio state was minnesota this wouldnt have happened....its a complete joke

on paper maybe but they arent one of the best four teams and thats what the criteria is supposed to be about...record is not supposed to matter

obviously record matters...a team with 9 losses isnt getting in....but a team with nine losses probably isnt going to be one of the best four teams
