Some CSN Nerd named Corey Seidman:  It's time to release Ryan Howard.

He was also on the video clip that CSN had on top of the article.  Somehow, he was almost the exact duplicate of the picture of Todd that I have in my head.

No doubt that they'll get nothing for Howard at this point, whether they eat the deal or not.  If they had any kind of prospect being blocked by him, I'd say go for it, because there's no doubt in my mind that he's toast.  But for Darin Ruf? 

I'm not even sure that he gets picked up as a free agent by an AL team with a need at DH.  Even his power is mostly gone - whether that's a physical thing or a mechanical issue with his swing or his age or a combination of those things, he's at a 25 HR pace.  Basically, he's a Rob Deer at this point.

One thing for sure:  If Howard leaves, Amaro better be following him out the door.  That contract is the prime example of Junior's mismanagement of this team.

listened to stark on miss on my drive....stark said they offered him up to AL teams essentially for free (low level prospects and very limited, perhaps performance based salary assistance). nobody bit

also eskin said the extension was on middleton and monty, not rube. i dont know if i buy that. however, roob does get a pass for lee because that was definitely on ownership (remember they were at budget, lee was out there, they OKed going well over to get him).

roob is pretty media savvy, hes always calling into shows, responding to texts, giving interviews. if he wanted to distance himself from the choke deal he had 1000000 chances to.

its 2 seconds. call one of the writers, say keep my name out of it, the choke deal was demanded by ownership. done. over. never happened. farg roob.

hes showcasing what he is. a decent relief pitcher with good stuff who cant strike anyone out. hes value is...how do i say this...not much.
