Comparing utley to Michael young last year is dumb, and this is from someone who agrees with you about most things in this thread (pertaining to wins/saves/overall valuation of players). 

Utley by any metric is still a productive offensive player when healthy.  He was last year and will be this year.  His two major issues are: 1) substantial missed games because of his injuries and 2) his defense has significantly eroded.

He's not going to keep up this pace, but when he plays he will produce at the plate.

im not comparing the two, its more for J since he was going off about MY last year when he was smoking some big singles in april.

but the point is valid nonetheless...utley is old, MY is old. what they do in april sans wear and tear and bumps and bruises is 1 thing. how effective utley will be in august is another. well see.

Grit is off to a fantastic start.  If he could maintain anything close to this level of production for the 125ish games he'll play in this year, that'd be super.  Won't matter though because this team isn't playing in October, but at least South Jerz will love it.
