Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

If anyone needs a reminder why Papelbon needs to go take a gander at his post-game interview with Kurkjian on ESPN.

Seriously.

Fist.  Face.  Repeat.

Kurkjian asked him how he felt being mobbed at the end, and Paps was sarcastically effusive about how excited he was.

Or you can hear it for yourself.

There are two videos before the one with Paps.

Chooch's third no-hitter.  Awesome.

Record is 4 (Jason Varitek)

combined no hitters are wack

I think you can make the argument this was the least important no-hitter of the 286 in MLB history.

- Combined, with the longest stretch being six innings, so no great individual effort.
- Late in the season, for a definite non-playoff team.
- Away game, in front of some of baseball's worst fans.

Pretty much.  "Hey, remember that time the Phillies used 4 pitchers to no-hit the Braves?" will say no Phillies fan ever.

The fact that 3 relievers, 1 of them being Papsmear, have their names associated with a no hitter makes me feel dirty.

They're actually unbelievably rare occurrences.  There's only been 11 of them in the history of the Majors.

It's rare because it's not very often that guys throwing a no-no are taken out.  Hamels wasn't lights out or anything.  CG no hitter or gtfo.

HA!  Impossible to like this douche, even when he's part of a no hitter.
