Motion to change the thread title to "There's always 5 years from now"

i would be thrilled if they were good in five years...but with the age and contracts they have now and no farm i think five years from now is a rebuilding year....my hope and i would be fine with it is that in five years they are where the astros are now

i can take a phrase thats rarely heard...flip it....now its a daily word

igy gettin it done like warrick

im the board pharmacist....always one step above yous

yesterday was the 3rd time ever that phillie batters struck out 15+ times without drawing a walk.....last time was 9/17/84 also vs mets

Maybe five years after Amaro is fired and the house is cleaned out.

MDS

im optimistic amaro will be fired this year. attendance is horrible, the product is horrible, season ticket renewals will be even lower in 2015 unless they do SOMETHING. thats what forced monty's hand to fire ed wade (who is actually far more competent than amaro).

regardless, its going to take a long time to turn this around. the process can be quickened by successful fire sale trades this year and next year. given amaro's terrific history of trading for prospects, i do not have high hopes.
Zero hour, Michael. It's the end of the line. I'm the firstborn. I'm sick of playing second fiddle. I'm always third in line for everything. I'm tired of finishing fourth. Being the fifth wheel. There are six things I'm mad about, and I'm taking over.

They deserve that. They farged Arbuckle in the ass when they hired Amaro and he bolted.

Now they have junky scouts

PhillyPhreak54

I don't seem to recall Burnett (well he did during his no hitter) being a guy who walked a lot of guys.

He's a bb issuing motherfarger this year

ive been saying this for years and people always hated on me but something that is so funny to me is how these homer phillie fans always like to credit the front office for all the prospects they traded away who never became anything...well duh idiots who do you think drafted these scrubs they traded away

its why I also laugh at everyone who thinks the astros robbed the phillies of singleton and cosart...and lol at domingo santana

I know we've said this a thousand times but I love the Mets crew.

Such a breath of fresh air to listen to. Not homeriffic...not biased...straight baseball talk, stories and jokes
